The Twilight Zone (1959)

A Game of Pool - S3-E5

Corrected entry: A pool game with a dead great player and a live great player has the bet of the game being life or death if he accepts the bet. He already has life if he doesn't take the bet, so has nothing to win.

Correction: That's not a plot hole, you just explained what the plot was. Of course Jesse could have said no, but if he wins he gets to be able to claim he beat Fats and is the best, that's what he has to win. To Jesse, that's an incredible prize.

Suggested correction: The modern lighter, which use ferrocerium to create a spark, was developed in 1903. Caswell was from 1880. This would have been different then anything he would have seen.

Where is Everybody? - S1-E1

Corrected entry: Ferris was locked up in the box for 484 hours which, according to the show, was the equivalent of going to the moon and 10 orbits and then back to earth, many times the actual time it would take.

Correction: He says "several orbits", not 10. But we don't know the technology of their orbiters, so we don't know how long a trip to the moon would take them (since in 1959 the US hadn't sent a man into space yet, they were using future, fictional, technology).

Where is Everybody? - S1-E1

Corrected entry: Mike Ferris is supposed to have been locked in the chamber for 484 hours, equivalent to 20.1666 days with no human contact. However, after all this time locked away his beard only grew about 2 - 3 days' worth. (00:20:20)

DrLoomis1978

Correction: He also was consuming food supplements, using the bathroom, and had various entertainment. It's possible he was also shaving.

Could be. It's a tricky situation. But then it is The Twilight Zone, so I guess anything is possible.

The Midnight Sun - S3-E10

Corrected entry: Because Earth is moving closer to the sun, Serling says here that there is no longer night anywhere on the planet. For this to occur, Earth would have to stop rotating and/or be close enough to the sun to be engulfed in its corona, both cataclysmic events that would annihilate all life on the planet. (00:21:00)

Jean G

Correction: SPOILER ALERT: The events described were merely a fever induced dream of Norma's and thus never actually occurred, therefore, there is no mistake. The Earth was moving away from the sun the whole time.
