Maximum Overdrive (1986)

Factual error: When the fuel tanker comes over to have Billy drop fuel, he pulls the hose down and plugs it into the tank receptacle. The troubles here are that 1) the hose wouldn't be connected in transit, it would be stowed on the side unconnected. 2) elastic straps are usually employed to keep the hoses secured until the tanker gets to its destination to drop the load.

Hancock (2008)

Factual error: When Hancock is upset that his bottle is smashed, he puts his feet through the bottom of the vehicle, stopping it. In the long shot, the SUV stops slow enough that the occupants would have been pushed forward, not slammed into the windshield.

Ghost Ship (2002)

Factual error: When Murphy goes into the "Cabina de Capitano" (Captain's Cabin), he sees the glass with a little alcohol in it, and the bottle standing next to it, without a cork or stopper. If left standing open like that, after 40 years, the liquid would have evaporated. However, it can be said that the Captain's ghost made it appear to entice Murphy.

Suggested correction: The Italian captain's ghost had just poured it to intrigue Murphy.

I amended my entry to reflect your suggestion, thank you.

Suggested correction: I think the captain's ghost did that just like Francesca had the lit cigarette inside the ash tray.

I amended my entry to reflect your suggestion, thank you.

Resident Evil (2002)

Factual error: When Alice has the pistol she got from the zombie she took out, she uses it to do away with the zombie dogs. As she fires the last of the rounds, the camera looks down to follow the fall of the casing. As it falls, it's on a slight tilt, about 5°. Physics says that it will bounce and tumble on the floor after it hits, then come to rest. Instead, when it hits, it immediately goes to a rest position with little movement. (00:48:20)

The Gold Rush - S1-E18

Factual error: When the men are lined up to take the strongboxes of gold to switch with bricks, each man in line easily hefts and tosses them to the next man. Gold bricks weigh over 27.5 pounds (12.4kg) apiece. If there 10 bricks per box (going by the size of the boxes), then that comes to 275 pounds per box, plus the weight of the box, which these guys are tossing around without a problem.

Factual error: When driving the S.L.O.W., the Cat tells Conrad to "punch it!". When he (Conrad) does so, the Cat squashes up against the windshield. This goes against physics. Unless they were going backwards, he would have been pressed into the seat.
