Continuity mistake: When Princess Mia goes to hold her baby brother Trevor, her mom has him wrapped up with the covers over his head; we can't see his head. When Princess Mia takes him from her mother his head is still covered. But in the next shot, as she turns around toward the camera, his head is uncovered and has a white knit cap on it. But then after they take a few steps and her mother talks to her, his head is covered back up.

Factual error: No real archery instructor would allow Princess Mia or anyone for that matter, to shoot with people in front of the shooting line and that close to Princess Mia. And, the arrows aren't retrieved until all have been shot, not after every one.

Continuity mistake: When Princess Mia and Nicholas duck into a closet to finish discussing the "lie-dance," we see Nicholas reach across to turn off the closet light. As he touches the light switch, we see he has a wristwatch on. But the very next shot is a close-up of him actually twisting the switch, and either he has no watch on or it is now under the sleeve. Continuity mistake: When Princess Mia and Andrew are at the seashore, we see Andrew with two cameras; one around his neck and the second across one shoulder. When they are running after Princess Mia's scarf, we still see the cameras. But when they are flat down on the sand and Andrew wraps the now recovered scarf back around Princess Mia's neck, Andrew has no cameras. (00:27:05)

Continuity mistake: When Princess Mia is seeing her suite for the first time, we see her "closet" and in the middle is a red/orange tufted ottoman that has nothing on it. There is a second shot of the ottoman and there is nothing on it. But then we see Fat Louie on the ottoman pressing a second remote to open/close drawers.

Continuity mistake: During the parade, Joe in seen riding on the back of the carriage that Queen Clarisse and Princess Mia are riding in. When Princess Mia stops the carriage, Joe gets off the back and is down on the street. We see several shots of Joe down on the pavement watching Princess Mia as she is talking to the orphans. As Princess Mia is telling them how to be a princess, you can see Joe in the background and he is up on the back of the carriage again. As the drum roll is announced, we see Joe get back up on the carriage, again.

Continuity mistake: After the fight at school, Rusty's/Russ' dad comes home and takes his wife inside. When he comes back outside, he grabs Rusty by the front of his jacket, but in the next shot he is holding Rusty by the upper arm.

Continuity mistake: When Rusty's/Russ' dad pulls into the driveway of their home, we see the street is black and wet, like it had just rained. But when we see Russ watching from across the street, the pavement is dry and very light colored.

Continuity mistake: When Russ and Rusty come out of the tunnel (with red airplane), Russ pulls off the road because their car, clothes, etc. have gone back to 1968. As they are pulling off onto the dirt, they stop just past a pickup truck with a motorcycle next to it. The next shot of the area show Russ sitting up on the back of the seat while the camera pans the area. The pickup truck and motorcycle have disappeared.

Continuity mistake: In the diner near the end of the movie, Russ and Rusty go to toast their chocolate milk shakes. It looks like Russ actually misses or barely grazes Rusty's glass and then starts to spill. But the very next shot they are holding their glasses upright.

Continuity mistake: In the underground garage scene with Russ, Rusty and Janet, Rusty's hair is combed straight down and very neat when he comes out from behind the pillar. When Janet says, "I should have worn my magic bra and panties.", Rusty starts laughing and his hair is messed up. But then when Rusty is snapping his seat belt as he's sitting in the Porsche, his hair is back to being neat.

Continuity mistake: When Jo's crew is having their little steak snack at Aunt Meg's, we see Preacher watching TV. There's a good shot of the top of the television set and there are NO walkie-talkies on top. Yet when they hear about another tornado, they all jumped up and grab their walkie-talkies off the top of the TV.

Continuity mistake: When Bill is walking over to see Jo for the first time, he passes Joey working on the hood of a truck that was previously shown in front of the blue Doppler van and next to the green tractor. Throughout this sequence, this taupe/brown pickup with camper flops back and forth between the two places. Lawrence finally drives it off.

Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the movie, the first time we see Jo's and her parents' house, there are several fairly close-up shots showing the porch and yard. These scenes are clearer during the flashes of lightning. There is nothing in the yard, close to the right side of the porch (as we are looking at it) except tall grass and a few small bushes right next to the porch. When the family comes out of the house to go to the cellar, there is a good-sized, red toy tractor sitting in the yard now.

Continuity mistake: When Bill is going over the divorce papers, he comes to the page missing Jo's signature. It only has one red arrow near top right. When he hands it to Jo, she starts looking at it, then flips up page to look at others, and the missing signature page is a completely different page with two red arrows, one toward the top and another, on the right, toward the bottom. Continuity mistake: When Princess Mia is announced at her birthday ball, she waves with her right hand and then waves so enthusiastically with her left hand that her bracelet flies off backward. We see it flying fairly high up judging by the door in the background. But when the doorman catches it, its much lower then it should have been (from the previous scene) with a much lower and flatter trajectory.

Continuity mistake: When we see Melissa at Aunt Meg's house, she is in the same 3-piece white suit she's been wearing since the start of the movie and it is still spotless - even after Bill, dirty, muddy and wet from the first tornado, hugs her.

Continuity mistake: After the pitstop, when Jo's team and Jonas's team have the encounter, Jo's team takes off to chase another tornado. When we hear Dusty holler, "Hey you guys, woohoo," we see Jo reach for the CB and dial from channel 22 to 18. But when Bill says, "Shi_," Jo reaches down to adjust the CB and the channel showing is 39.

Continuity mistake: When they're in the town with the drive-in movie, we see Melissa in her motel room crawling up onto the bed towards her pillow. You can see she has shoes on but no socks. We see her twirling her engagement ring around on her finger, then see her use the remote to turn the TV off. She watches the curtains blow for a minute and then she walks out of her motel room. She has on white socks. Then as she runs to grab Billy's hand, she has on black socks.

Continuity mistake: When Ben walks in to the bathroom to remove his overalls, he slams the tool belt up in the corner of the counter next to side panel wall and tile wall. When Ben unzips the overalls, the tool belt is now behind the last sink's faucet with part of the belt and fastener in the middle sink. None of the tool belt is next to the side panel wall. We next see a shot where the tool belt is almost entirely in the last sink, then back to being behind the faucet.
