Question: Does anyone know where the scene in the theater was filmed, where Julia Roberts is on the stage with the swing and the snow, and then backstage playing in the costumes?

Answer: Filmed at the Abbeville Opera House in Abbeville SC. From imdb Trivia: Star 'Julia Roberts' caused a controversy after she left Abbeville, South Carolina, where the film shot some location work. She said the place was "a living hell" and a "horribly racist" town and she would never return there again.

Question: Does anyone know the story behind the "Creepy Thin Man?" Like why he likes to pull hair and smell it? Anything that helps me understand his character is appreciated.

Answer: This character gets a backstory in the sequel (Charlie's Angels Full Throttle). Supposedly he was a runaway from a circus, who found refuge at an orphanage. He didn't much like haircuts when he was little.

Evita (1996)

Question: There's a line in the song "Don't cry for me Argentina" that I don't understand. It sounds like she's singing "though I'm dressed up to the ninth at sixes and sevens with you". What does this mean? If I've misheard, what is she actually singing?

Answer: Lyric is: "You won't believe me/ All you will see is a girl you once knew/Although she's dressed up to the nines/ At sixes and sevens with you"..... "Dressed up to the nines" basically means "all spiffed up" in formal clothing. "At sixes and sevens" is "to be confused". Not to be too literal, but Eva (an actress) is portraying herself as a poor Argentine girl (one of the working class people), dressed up for her role leading the country, but confused about the relationship with the people. As indicated in other lines of this song, she craves the love of the people, and needs to be seen as one of them.

Question: Maybe I missed a major plot point, but why exactly does Tom kill his lover at the very end?

Krista

Chosen answer: Tom & his lover are travelling on a boat. The rich girl, who knows Tom as Dickie is also on the boat. If they were to meet, Tom's false identity would have been revealed, and the lover would have been able to figure out that Tom actually murdered Dickie.

Answer: He had to kill him. Tom couldn't kill Meredith because she wasn't alone and Peter was.
