Burke's Law (1963)

Who Killed His Royal Highness? - S1-E21

Continuity mistake: When Archie tries to kill Burke with the fireplace poker, Burke knocks him out with a punch that sends him flying over the back of the couch. The stunt man lands on his side, facing the couch. But when Burke looks over at the unconscious Archie, he's lying face up and several feet farther to the left than the stunt man was in the previous shot. (00:48:20)

Burke's Law (1963)

Who Killed Cynthia Royal? - S1-E12

Continuity mistake: In the establishing shot of the traveling limo, we can see that there's only one passenger in the back seat. But when the shot cuts to the interior of the car, both Burke and Tim are in the back. (00:26:30)

Burke's Law (1963)

Who Killed Alex Debbs? - S1-E6

Trivia: Sammy Davis Junior's offbeat character, Cordwainer Bird, is an in-joke on the part of scriptwriter Harlan Ellison, who uses the Bird pseudonym to disassociate himself from productions that substantially rewrite/change his stories.

Burke's Law (1963)

Who Killed Wade Walker? - S1-E9

Continuity mistake: Burke's Rolls leaves a parking space in front of a restaurant with a distinctive peaked roof facade. After a lengthy conversation with Tim during a drive through L.A. streets (in one direction with no turns), the car is shown again pulling away from the same restaurant. (00:11:25)

Burke's Law (1963)

Who Killed the Rest? - S2-E25

Continuity mistake: When Burke's partners arrive to question Mimsy Grove, she's facing away from them, bending over to untangle her boat's mooring line. But in the very next shot, she's immediately standing up straight and has turned around to face them. (00:38:15)

Burke's Law (1963)

Who Killed the Rest? - S2-E25

Trivia: Here and in several other episodes, Burke's Law was one of the first TV series to break with longstanding Hollywood prejudices by hiring Latino actors like Cesar Romero to play Latino roles. In this episode, three years before becoming the Joker on Batman, Romero plays a Mexican police chief interrogating Amos Burke, whose rather prescient line to him is, "The joke's on the joker - I've been framed!" Burke's Law (1963)

Who Killed the Rest? - S2-E25

Factual error: It isn't catering to American tourists (the guests are from all over the globe), but the Posada Angelita Hotel in Mexico has only American flags out front. (00:03:15)

Burke's Law (1963)

Who Killed the Rest? - S2-E25

Revealing mistake: "Who Killed the Rest?" The boat we see speeding toward shore explodes - but in the brief shot of it just before the detonation, the substitution of a model is apparent. The two vessels don't look anything alike. (00:02:00)
