Factual error: When Joseph Gordon-Levitt is playing poker, they are using Morgan style silver dollars. The stacks of dollars are treated as $100 dollars. Continuity mistake: When two cops let themselves into Spader's apartment, as they approach the door you can see that the door has an old style lock, sometimes called a lever lock. As they go to pick open the lock the close-up shows a different lock, a pin type deadbolt on a different color metal plate. Factual error: When the police are looking at the reflection of a neon sign in the glasses in the picture of the girl, the letters are reversed as you might expect. But the sign is on the glass front wall of the shop, facing the outside. Since the photo was taken inside the shop, the inside view of that sign would have already been reversed, and the reflection should have been the right way round. (00:35:15 - 00:39:40)

Other mistake: At the beginning of the film, when the door lock is being picked, it is the deadbolt that is being picked. When the door opens you can see that there is no space for a deadbolt in the door frame. (00:06:40)

Other mistake: At the club, Sid likes the blue suit and takes it. But he is still wearing the suit he came in when Denzel's character shows up and is not carrying the blue suit as he leaves. If he somehow had it concealed on him it would have been shot up when he was thoroughly shoot. Yet when we next see Sid he is wearing the blue suit and there is not a mark on it.
