The Aviator (2004)

Corrected entry: The actual flight of the Spruce Goose was only up in the air and then down - it did not soar across Long Beach. It was simply to prove the thing could become airborne.

Correction: According to the official Spruce Goose museum located online at http://www.sprucegoose.org/aircraft_artifacts/exhibits.html, Hughes "flew her for a little over a mile at an altitude of 70 feet for approximately one minute." The film's portrayal is accurate.
