Corrected entry: When they are all huddled in the propeller shaft room, the rescue crew burns through the hull with a cutting torch. With the ship being upside-down, the pressure inside the hull would be tremendous. Not only that, when the first cut was made in the hull, the air would rush out and the water would quickly fill from the bottom seeing as they never shut a watertight hatch behind them.

Correction: With the size of that hole the ship would not fill up instantly. It would fill up faster but only as fast as the air escaping the hole. The view of the ship shows that the hull is just about level, the back of the ship would drop down in the water and the air in the bow would not be able to escape.

Days of Thunder (1990)

Corrected entry: Cole tells Harry he doesn't understand the difference between loose and tight conditions of a car setup. Any experienced racer from open wheels would know the difference.

brantlee

Correction: Not really. He may not know the terms. He can describe to his crew what is happening and they fix it accordingly. You never know what the relationship between him and his crew on the open wheel cars is like. Most of the open wheels have onboard computers that relays information to the pits on what the car is doing.

Vernon Gilmore

Corrected entry: Near the beginning when Biff returns George's crashed car, after the discussion about who will pay for it etc., Biff goes to the fridge and gets a beer. He complains that George only has 'Lite' beer for him, but if you look on the fridge door it seems there are 3 cans of what appears to be 'regular' Budweiser. (00:13:05)

hushkit

Correction: He just didn't look in the door and just assumed there was only lite beer.

Grease 2 (1982)

Corrected entry: What was the point of making Michael a T-Bird on the last day of school? If they're "T-Bird chicks, at least till grad," then the next day Stephanie would have been free to date non T-Birds anyway.

Correction: It was not for Stephanie's benefit. It was the T-Birds' way of approving of Michael and letting him know he fits in.

Jurassic Park (1993)

Corrected entry: When the tour trucks are waiting outside the visitors center, Lex enters one of the cars. After Grant closes the door on Tim, she's waiting outside to say her line.

Correction: True, she got in the car but she got back out after the other girl told her she should ride with him.

Vernon Gilmore

Corrected entry: When a damaged Rebel ship is heading towards the bridge of a Star Destroyer, an Imperial officer begins to run for cover, as does Admiral Piet--immediately afterwards. In the next shot, Piett is further away from the window of the bridge than in the previous shot.

Correction: That is because he is running away!

Star Wars (1977)

Corrected entry: When Luke and C-3PO are searching for R2-D2, in the first shot of the landspeeder gliding through the desert, Threepeo is gesturing as if he was talking, but he doesn't say anything.

Correction: 3PO and luke are having a casual conversation as they search for Arto. They are too far away from camera to be heard and the dialog has nothing to do with the story line.

Corrected entry: When the family first arrives at their Stepford residence, the house is on the right side of the street. Later, when Broderick and Lovitz leave their wives at Broderick's house to go to the Men's Club, the house is at the end of a cul-de-sac.

Correction: That wasn't a cul-de-sac. That was their driveway. All of the houses had driveways and were not directly on the street.

Jurassic Park (1993)

Corrected entry: When the gang is heading down to the sick Triceratops, Lex trips, and Alan helps her up. Look closely when she trips. It is clear she did it on purpose.

Correction: Exactly! She tripped on purpose to get his attention. Notice how he tries to let go of her hand after he helps her up but she won't let him?

Ghost (1990)

Corrected entry: When Sam is on the train and sees the other ghost, the 'train ghost' gets up and looks at Sam, then starts yelling at him. How does the train ghost know that Sam is a another ghost? Sam certainly can't tell between ghosts and humans.

Correction: Sam is still learning to deal with being a ghost and has not learned how to tell dead people from live people yet. The other ghost has been one for a long time and can recognize other ghosts. The ghost in the hospital was able to recognize Sam as being a ghost along with the lady in the cemetery. Some things have to be learned just like Sam had to learn how to move objects.

Grease (1978)

Corrected entry: In the Greased Lightning scene when Danny starts singing he throws his jacket behind him and you can see it land on top of a cupboard behind him. When they all go behind the car you can see the same cupboard but the jacket isn't on top of it.

Correction: It gradually slipped off the cabinet as they were going behind the car.

Reign of Fire (2002)

Corrected entry: One scene states that the original dragon was awoken in 2008. The rest of the film takes place in 2020, a gap of twelve years. However, in the scene just before the helicopter arrives at the castle, a character states that no-one has flown in 20 years. Has flying gone out of fashion by 2008?

Correction: He just misspoke. He was talking in generalities, not exact. And with the life they are leading now it would not be unbelievable that he has lost track of time.

Reign of Fire (2002)

Corrected entry: How come you can hear the wind howling away, but the windmills don't move?

Correction: If the inner workings of the windmill are in disrepair and not able to move the wind can blow all it wants but still not get the wheel to turn.

Reign of Fire (2002)

Corrected entry: When the male dragon attacks the castle, Quinn and his group takes shelter in the cellar. When they emerge, the entire castle is burnt to the ground - except for a pile of logs at the top of the cellar stairs.

Correction: After surviving and then seeing the aftermath of the fires that raged through San Diego with all the devastation and intensity of the fire not everything was burned. It is possible that some things will not burn no matter how hot/intense a fire is.

Independence Day (1996)

Corrected entry: When the President arrives at Area 51 he orders the guard to open the "clean room" where workers are wearing full body clean suits. Yet a few minutes later when Brent Spiner and his crew arrive (from within the clean room) they are all wearing street clothes and lab coats, not clean suits.

William Miller

Correction: That is because they weren't in the clean room initially. They went into the room from outside the clean room and since the President and others had already 'contaminated' the room there was no sense in him wasting time putting on his clean suit.

Vernon Gilmore

Corrected entry: In the final showdown, earth people are rightly amazed by their first confrontation with the alien spaceships and finally their passengers as well. But since they have (probably for years) prepared and trained a group of astronauts ready to attend the first alien/human space-voyage in history, why do they look so surprised every time a new "wave" of alien ships appear? Aren't they expecting or at least hoping that one of them would land?

S.Holmes

Correction: They are surprised and amazed at the number and diversity of the different types of spaceships. They are also a little 'surprised' that they are actually seeing what they hoped they would find.

Airplane (1980)

Corrected entry: When one of the two African Americans ordered his dinner, he said, "Drink side, run me the java." Even though there's no such thing as "Jive" language, it's pretty clear that he is asking for coffee to drink ("drink...java"). The caption says nothing about coffee.

Matty Blast

Correction: This is a comedy. There are no written rules that says the captions have to translate exactly what the person is saying. If I remember right he even says a cuss word and the caption says 'GOLLY.'

Vernon Gilmore

Corrected entry: In the scene when Axel is making a call to Jeffrey, Jeffrey tells him that it is 1 a.m. and later when the cops are identifying fingerprints at the police station, Taggart tells them that it is 11 p.m. and the club they want to go to is closed at that time. It is still the same day, impossible.

Correction: Jeffrey is in Detroit and Axel is in Los Angeles, The time difference makes this possible.

Vernon Gilmore

Corrected entry: In the scene where the couple is arguing in their home about seeing a movie, there is a boy in the crib trying to break a doll or something. That kid looks at least 4 years old. Isn't a 4 year old a little old to be in a crib? And you can easily tell that the kid would not be able to lay down completely in the crib even if he tried.

KINGOFNY

Correction: That is the little girl's crib, not the boys. He climbed into the crib by himself to be a pest. If you look after Richard Dreyfus yells at 'Toby' he stops breaking the doll and climbs out of the crib by himself.

Air Force One (1997)

Corrected entry: When you see the secret service agents put the president in the escape pod, you can see that the door does not shut properly but when they shift to the last of the two agents shooting against the terrorists and then shift back you see that the door is fully shut.

Correction: This mistake is explained earlier. The door is shut before the pod is jettisoned because the president gets out of the pod and closes the door tightly so not to alert the agent to secure the door and look inside and find the president is no longer in the pod.
