The Scorn of the Star Sapphire! - S3-E5

Question: It was said in another answer that the ring Star Sapphire has uses the power of love, which makes sense in this episode as her human from, Carrol, is in love with Hal Jordan. However, when Star Sapphire takes over and replaces Carrol's mind, she demonstrates nothing but hate and anger towards Hal Jordan/Green Lantern. So how can she use her powers with the opposite emotions?

Quantom X

Chosen answer: The Star Sapphires are agents of the Zamarons, the female species of the Guardians of the Universe, they are enemies of the Green Lanterns, which is why Carol has anger toward Hal. It should also be mentioned that the further a ring is from the center of the "The Emotional Spectrum", the more control the ring has over the user.

Teen Titans (2003)

Show generally

Question: In several series/movies, Cyborg is shown as part of the Justice League. He is part of it when it Justice League is first formed as shown in the upcoming movie, Justice League: War. though in that one he is made only a day or so before. Usually he is a grown man in he Justice League. Yet here he is in the Teen Titans. Is it supposed to be that Cyborg joins the Justice League after he leaves the Teen Titans?

Quantom X

Chosen answer: In recent years, the comics introduced Cyborg as a member of the Justice League. This was after his many years as a Teen Titan. In the rebooted DC Universe (known as the New 52) Cyborg is a founding member of the Justice League, and was never a part of the Teen Titans.

Question: Bill tells Kiddo that Pai Mei teaches "no one" the five point palm heart exploding technique, yet he teaches Kiddo, why?

dan coakley..

Chosen answer: He probably trusted Kiddo more then his other students that she would never use it unless necessary.

MasterOfAll

Also I think that a man of Pei Mei's infinite wisdom (and old age) would have sensed that his end was near. Knowing that and given that Beatrix was his most determined and driven student who completely submitted to his teachings... He trusted her and knew she would never abuse his power. So he passed them down to her. Thus, the White Lotus would live on in her. Brilliant.

Question: How is it possible for Reverse Flash to be aware that the timeline has changed? Furthermore, how does he know the exact details of when and how it changed as well?

Matty Blast

Chosen answer: In the comic book this is based on, Reverse Flash was outside of time when the change occurred. He was aware of the exact detail because he was the one who murdered The Flash's mother. He was the one Barry stopped.

Scarface (1983)

Question: I've had arguments with one of my friends about this line in the film when Scarface says "the only thing in this world that gives orders is balls", my friend thinks he says "the only thing in this world that gives orders is BOSS" (which wouldn't make much sense). What does he say, balls or boss?

dan coakley..

Chosen answer: You are correct. It's balls. You can find it in the script.

MasterOfAll

Answer: The official script says "Boss". It's a reference to Frank Lopez not being Tony's boss anymore. "Balls" is completely incorrect and out of context.

Question: Is Blue Falcon supposed to be based off Captain Falcon from the F-Zero games? There are an awful lot of similarities. Almost blatantly so.

Quantom X

Chosen answer: No. Blue Falcon is a character created by Hanna-Barbara in 1976 featured in the animated series "Dynomutt, Dog Wonder".

General questions

This is a movie that I got from Red Box a couple years ago or so. But for the life of me I can not remember what it was called. From what I remember, the basic jist of it was this swordsman wanted to become the greatest swordsman in the world and is Japanese. He challenges the current best and beats him in seconds right at the beginning of the movie. And it is his mission to beat that guy's full clan, which he does, killing them all except a small baby that he can't bring himself to kill. He takes it to raise, but this goes against his own clan's rules and so now he is hunted for dead. He leaves Japan and goes to America in the old west. He meats up with a dysfunctional circus group and mixes with them. This group has their own problems with local cowboys. And by the end of the movie, it becomes a three way battle between this guy with the Circus guys on his side, the cowboys, and Ninjas out to get the main guy. All fighting each other. This was the plot to the best of my memory. I can not remember the name and would love to watch it again. Does anybody know what movie this is?

Quantom X

Chosen answer: Sounds like "The Warrior's Way".
