Directed by: J.C. Chandor

Starring: Robert Redford

Genres: Action, Drama

Our Man uses all his flares, failing to signal two large boats that pass right by him. Night falls. He spies the light of a possible boat in the distance. He lights a signal fire using the paper from his notebooks. It spreads and engulfs the whole escape raft. He jumps into the water and treads water for few seconds but gives up, deciding to sink into the black ocean depths. As he sinks he looks up at the burning raft and notices a boat with searchlights has arrived to investigate the fire. He swims back up to it. A hand reaches into the water to pull him up.

Factual error: As "Our Man" is attempting to repair the radio and other electronics, the radio begins to have intermittent reception. Our Man picks up the microphone and tries to call an "S.O.S." If you look closely, after the third and final attempt, the camera angle changes to an over-the-shoulder shot. Although it's very quick, you can see Robert Redford is holding the microphone backwards, speaking to the "clip" side, not the microphone side.
