Meet Me in St. Louis

Other mistake: The house appears to have three floors but the bathroom, the little girl's room, Grandpa's room (down the hall from bathroom and across hall from Rose and Esther) and Rose and Esther's rooms are all on the same floor at the top of the stairs. And exterior front of house shots show large windows on what would be a "second" floor that has no access from the main staircase.

Other mistake: At the beginning of the Halloween sequence Tootie and Agnes are in their bedroom on the 3rd storey. That same bedroom is across the hall from the bathroom on the 2nd floor in the Christmas sequence. Also when Grandpa looks out his window to see Esther returning from tennis he's looking out a window that would be looking to the side and back yard, not toward the street in front of the house.

Audio problem: After Tootie sings 'I Was Drunk Last Night' you see a far away shot where Esther grabs her leg and says 'Tootie you very ba..' Cut to the close up where she repeats 'Tootie you very bad'

Agnes Smith: Katie, where's my cat?
Katie the Maid: I don't know... a little while ago, she got in my way and I kicked her down the cellar steps. I could hear her spine hitting on every step.
Agnes Smith: Oh, if you killed her, I'll kill you! I'll stab you to death in your sleep, then I'll tie your body to two wild horses until you're pulled apart.
Katie the Maid: Oh, won't that be terrible, now? There's your cat.

Trivia: In the film, when Margaret O'Brien is sad because she doesn't want to move, she knocks down snowmen and cries hysterically. It is rumored that in real life Margaret was told that her dog died when it really hadn't, just so she would cry. Apparently Margaret O'Brien denies this, claiming this story is not true. She explains that though she didn't feel it was easy to cry, she was able to muster it after being told that June Allyson - her MGM rival in sobbing - could cry on cue.
