Corrected entry: In the beginning of the movie when the "gangster guy" is taking on Scaramanga, Scaramanga slides down a ramp to get his golden gun. If you look closely, he has roller skates on. (00:07:05)
Corrected entry: As Scaramanga turns the laser gun towards the plane you can see that the gun never points at the plane, while he turns it and when he shoots. The perspective shows that the gun never points closer to the plane than some 30 - 40 m behind it.
Correction: From the angle of the viewer, it is impossible to see exactly where the gun is aiming.
Corrected entry: Scaramanga takes off in a jet powered car with Goodnight in the boot, but at the island there is nowhere to land a car - hence Bond using a water plane to land. The radar hidden in the boot continues to bleep at Scaramanga's island suggesting the car is there, but it is nowhere to be found.
Correction: After rewatching the film it is made clear that the car is dumped prior to Scaramanga travelling to the island using a different mode of transport.
Character mistake: James Bond states that the man that fell in the liquid helium would raise the temperature. Since humans have a body temperature of only 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit, falling into a tank of liquid helium at -456 degrees would bring his body down to the same temperature as the surrounding helium in no more than five seconds. (01:49:20)
Suggested correction: The human body is mostly water which has a high specific heat capacity, much higher than liquid helium, so the amount of heat absorbed by the helium in order to cool the body to near absolute zero would easily raise its temperature well above absolute zero.
Correction: He is not wearing roller skates. It is an illusion caused by the reflection of his white boots against the glossy black slide/stairs.
