In the original film, Westlake/Darkman was played by Liam Neeson, whereas in this sequel the character is played by Arnold Vosloo. However, if you pay close attention, you can see that several shots of Liam Neeson from the first movie were used as stock-footage in this film. (Ex. the opening flashback is a mixture of both Neeson and Vosloo footage cut together, and at least once you see a dramatic close-up of Darkman's eye which is a shot of Neeson taken from the first film.).
