Kindergarten Cop (1990) - 25 mistakes

Continuity: In the beginning of the film John and Detective O'Hara are driving. She suddenly gets really sick, so John stops the car so she can get out.  She runs and then throws up. When she comes back to the car she trips on a log that was never there before. 

Continuity: After Kimble walks in on Phoebe and Henry in the bedroom, the positions of the pillows change (in one shot a pillow falls of the bed, but is back on in the next), and the sheet of paper move around the bed sheets too.

Visible crew/equipment: When Mrs. Sullivan pulls up along the road, three crewmembers pushing the camera along are beautifully reflected in the side of her car.

Continuity: When Kimble is getting the kids to bring a toy back to the carpet, some children clearly sit down twice between shots, most noticeable a boy in a striped shirt holding a big yellow truck.

Continuity: On Kimble's first day as the kindergarten teacher, he's wearing a white shirt with jeans and a jacket. When he shows up the next day and is talking with the mother of one kid, he's wearing a maroon shirt with khakis. They then cut to the kids doing the pledge of allegiance, then to the kid eating everybody's lunches. In that shot Arnold is wearing the white shirt, jeans, and jacket. But then, they cut to "Who is your daddy, and what does he do?" sequence, and Arnold is back in the maroon shirt and khakis. It seems the "Lunch-box kid" part was in the wrong spot.

Visible crew/equipment: When Crisp and his mother pull up, just before Crisp goes into the toy store, in the bottom of the car's windsheild you can see a boom mike bobbing about.

Continuity: Toward the end of the film while the school is on fire, Kimble's partner runs to the side door gun drawn. She is spotted by Crisp's mom and is hit by her car, knocking her down. When she arrives shortly with a bat to save Kimble she is much more banged up than when she was first struck, most noticeably a rip on her right shoulder that wasn't there before.

Other: In the scene at the end of the film where Mr Kimble is being wheeled out on a stretcher his left bicep has a blood-pressure cuff on it, but moments earlier Mrs. Crisp shot him in the left bicep. That would be extremely painful.

Continuity: The items on the pharmacy counter neaten themselves between shots, as Crisp picks up the “Rectal Thermometer.”

Continuity: When Kimble returns back to the Kindergarten class at the end of the film, everyone is sitting drawing. Between shots one boy who is sitting drawing, is suddenly a girl in the following shot.

Factual error: When Cullen is shot at the end, instantly there is clear red colour on and around the entry holes on his clothes.

Revealing: When Kimble bursts in on Phoebe and her fiance, you can see the fiance's flesh-coloured underwear in the mirror behind him, yet he's supposed to be naked.

Visible crew/equipment: When Kimble returns back to the Kindergarten class at the end of the film, in the shot before he blows the whistle, you can see a red tape marker on the carpet.

Continuity: After Kimble has a bad dream, he wakes up, and from shot to shot the items on the desk in front of him keep changing and moving around.

Continuity: After the kindergarten class have finished their speech, the little kid who spoke last turns around and begins to jump up and down. When the shot changes as the principal starts to speak, he is facing the front, standing perfectly still.

Plot hole: Cindy manages to pick Crisp out of a line-up even though she was hidden in a box and didn't see him, she only heard his voice. But even with that, he isn't asked to speak during the line-up.

Visible crew/equipment: When Kimble is beating up Zach's dad for hitting him, in one shot it shows him pinning him up against the car and the boom pole can be seen reflected on the boot surface and the rear window above it.

Continuity: When Kimble is first introduced to the kindergarten class, there is a clock on top of the piano which reads “10:30.” Few shots later it is pointing to “9:30”

Continuity: In the scene where Phoebe is interrogating Cindy, Cindy refuses to testify or identify Crisp in the line up. She then tries to leave the interrogation room, but it's locked. When the interrogation is over, we see that Phoebe opens the same door without any problems, or anyone opening it from the outside.

Continuity: In the scene where John and Phoebe arrive in Oregon, it's raining. When we see the two in the car, the wipers are on, yet not a single drop of rain hits the windshield. The only rain on the windshield are drops that are just out of reach of the wipers.
