Entry This is regarding the final scene: why would Victoria attend a performance of her own show in the same place where a police inspector was just looking for her moments before? She would have no way of knowing the inspector had left the premises. The viewer knows (from previous scenes) that she is widely recognized (as Victor) wherever she goes and since she was dressed as a woman in her act the "street clothes" worn in the final scene weren't much of a disguise. It doesn't make sense to me.
Entry Why did Julie Andrews refuse her Tony nomination for this film? [She accepted the Oscar nomination for the film. She turned down the Tony nomination for the Broadway musical because no one else got nominated and she thought it was unfair.]
