In the strip club scene, three drinks are ordered by the characters. Later when the waitress comes to put them down, she puts down the second drink at one end of the table and in the next shot Matthew is already touching the glass on the other side of the table. Afterwards, the number and position of the glasses changes frequently between shots. See more...
Trivia
In the director's commentary, Luke Greenfield revealed that during the scene where Emile Hirsch is getting a lap dance in the strip club (the scene might have been removed in the theatrical version) they had to put about 4 pillows between Emile Hirsch and the stripper. This was due to the fact that Emile Hirsch was only 17 when the film was made and under child pornography laws he could not have a naked woman touch his body. See more...

The "questions" section is for any random questions that occurred to you while watching this film, or anything you didn't entirely understand, and which Google or the IMDb can't help with. Submit them as a question, and hopefully someone will answer (the bold comments in brackets) - check back regularly. Whether this was the first film to use a certain effect? Here's the place to ask!
What was the point of the police officer being in a crash at the beginning of the film. I didn't really see the point of it as it didn't play any part in the storyline. [While it doesn't have anything to do with the overall plot, the crash shows just how much Matthew is afraid to do the wrong thing and perhaps how he overthinks things. As we know all he would be doing is missing a bit of school by getting in his car and driving from the school. The fact that Matthew is able to imagine an horrific crash of a security guard because of just skipping school shows how worried he is about doing the wrong thing.]
