Corrected entry: Though we see Frida having had the toes of her right foot amputated and in a wheelchair throughout the remainder of the movie after that scene; she, in fact, had her right leg amputated below the knee, something we never see in the movie.

Correction: Although it is never spoken about, we do see that Frida's right leg is amputated. It is shown in a scene when she is wearing a pink nightgown. She is arguing with Diego because she wants to go to her show, she shouts at him to give her her leg back, referring to her prosthesis.

Corrected entry: In the opening scene, Frida is laying in a bed. Then later in the scene the image is reversed, as the writing on the pillow on which she lays is backwards. Later, it is corrected.

Correction: In the beginning it starts with a mirror on the canopy of frida's bed that she used to paint her self portrats. Then the camera moves to see frida in reality not a mirror image. The part where you see it backwards is a mirror image.

Corrected entry: At the beginning of the movie when Frida is in the bed just before it flashes back to her childhood, we see her reflection in the mirror. Her earrings are dangling as if she is standing up.

Correction: This is not a mistake. When she's looking in the mirror, she's remembering her childhood (and therefore we expect a flashback). So her earrings are dangling because she's standing (and about to run away) in the next shot.

Factual error: Frida is shown watching King Kong when she goes to New York. It is well known that the movie was made in 1933, but later we see on her mother's grave that the year is 1932.

Trivia: Many of Frida's paintings are in the movie in an artistic way. The end up looking like real life in a doorway or a window. This is so that they look framed. One example is a painting of Frida sitting with her cut hair and scissors.

Question: What were the Spanish lyrics to the song Frida was singing in the bar just before she started the brawl, and is that the literal translation that is on the subtitles? I know what the movie says the translation is, but I can't get the words the same when I try to translate back into Spanish.

Answer: The Song Frida is singing is one of Diego´s most favourite songs, La Bruja (On the soundtrack performed by Lila Downs). http://www.musicbrother.com/index.php?page=song&id=167156 (german page, but spanish lyrics).
