Lucy discovers that Sam has used their personal lives and her diary to write a film script and dumps him, has a brief fling with Carl Phipps, gets pregnant. At the premiere of the movie that Sam wrote about them, she tells him that it's over with Carl, and so she gets back together with Sam. She loses the baby, and the film ends with her and Sam trying for a baby on the chalk giant.
