Near the start of the film, when Ramu's cousin bangs on the door of the flat, he lets his Indian/American accent slip, shouting "Open up. Immigration" In a London accent. [Ramu's cousin would naturally have a British accent since he himself had moved from India only recently. Many Indians have British accents because of the British influence on India and its former role in the British Empire.]

At the end of the film, when Ramu is on the Sally Jesse Raphael show, even if it was being broadcast live in New York, it certainly wouldn't be broadcast live in India for his family to watch. Also, India is 9 1/2 hours ahead of New York. If Ramu's family are watching the show when it's daytime in New York, it's awfully light outside! See more...

Comments made in brackets are corrections from other visitors. As such, any aggressive/abusive corrections (and I get quite a few) written as if they're comments I've made myself will be ignored. To submit your own corrections for mistakes, just click the edit icon under an entry, then choose "correct entry". Some entries have "duplicated entry" after them - these are entries which were already listed on the main page, but were submitted again. I occasionally leave these online for a while, just in case they were moved in error, so don't worry about pointing them out to me.
