Character mistake: Scene where they push the truck out of the mud; right after they drive away in the background you can see that the other side is flat grass. They never had to do all that.

Suggested correction: Trucks of that era were not equipped with limited slip, nor posi-traction differentials, so having their truck land in mud on the drive axle side of the differential resulted in exactly what's portrayed in the movie.

Continuity mistake: The injury Schofield suffers to his neck is healed by the time that he gets to the front line.

Question: If someone could confirm these 2 continuity errors...The soldiers move the tree from across the road and they all jump back in the truck. The shot then looks back to the scene of the farmhouse but the tree is not there. Also the last scene where he walks towards the tree, I am sure the tree had no foliage in one split second or looked quite different. I thought it may have been on purpose but I found no reference to it. Are these valid?
