Correction: They jump to some time later. The hair has been cut.
Corrected entry: Though the film takes place over many months, the crops in the field near the house never seem to change appearance.
Correction: Actually, after 89 they skip to Day 472 and then, it's just 2 full days of action. So, I don't think farm appearance is a mistake here.
The corn wouldn't still be green after more than a year in the field. And they couldn't have planted earlier that same year, as the noise would have attracted the aliens.
Corrected entry: How could the deaf daughter have the rocket that caused her brother's death? He had it in his hand when the alien attacked. It is somehow in perfect condition in her drawer.
Correction: The brother could have dropped it as soon as he was attacked by the alien and she went back and picked it up as something to remember him by.
Corrected entry: The parents set up fireworks as a noise distraction but this has to be triggered remotely, away from the house. Surely there are other ways that noise traps can be set which can be triggered easily from the house. Or from a remote control. They have plenty of electricity.
Correction: You also have to take into account the construction of such other traps. Any amount of welding, wiring, and contraption construction would be excessively difficult to do silently. Use a hammer, the creatures come. Turn on a welder, the creatures come. Test your electronics to make sure they work, the creatures come. The way the set it up with those fire works, where as not exactly easy or super practical, is probably one of the only ways they could even set up such a sound distraction system without triggering the creatures to hear them setting it up and come to them then.
Corrected entry: When the power to the Abbotts' home goes out, the hundreds of colored lights and all of the cameras and monitors in the basement continue to work normally. This would have required either a really large generator (which would have made noise) or an incredible number of backup batteries, which weren't available to them.
Correction: The movie takes place in 2021, and it may be assumed the the house is running on solar batteries.

Corrected entry: How did the Death Angel reach the basement while it got flooded? It seems to have magically appeared, and never took the staircase.
Correction: We never see how it gets in, but it seems to just sort-of be poking and looking around when Everylyn wakes up, so in all probability it just found the opening above and crawled down inside to check the room out. Just because we don't see how it got down doesn't make it a plot-hole.
Corrected entry: If the aliens are sensitive to sound, and a simple high pitch sound can distract and hurt their hearing, the army could have figured this out long ago and defeated them with ease.
Correction: Apparently, it was a specific frequency that they were sensitive to, which was discovered by the dad while he was attempting to make a working hearing aid for his daughter.
Corrected entry: The opening grocery store scene shows father, son, and wife leaving after the father tells the son no to the toy. Less than a minute later the boy is back in the grocery store when the sister gives him the toy and tells him to shush.
Correction: It is the older brother that leaves the store with the father. If you have trouble telling them apart, check the color and pattern of their hats.
Correction: Yes, because they snuck back to get it.
Correction: You can buy multi-year calendars or calendars for future years easily in stores or online. Just did a quick search, and there are plenty of places where you can get calendars for 2020, 2021, 5-year calendars starting from now, etc. even though it's only 2018.
