Continuity: At the beginning of the movie when Romy reunites with Heather Moony, Heather tells Romy that she invented the cigarette which she is smoking and takes a puff to show how fast it burns down, and the cigarette burns to the butt. But in the next scene her cigarette is still to its half-way point.

Continuity: In the reunion scene Kristy Masters, the A group leader, is making the speech of where everyone has been for the last ten years. When they show Heather Moony, if you look closely at her dress it appears to be that she spilled her drink on her dress already, later after Kristy talks about the football player Heather drools on her dress and the earlier spot where she spilled has disappeared.

Continuity: When Ramon's XJS Jaguar is parked outside the reunion the rear view mirror is missing in several shots.

Factual error: In the prom scene in which Romy and Michelle wear Madonna costumes, Romy is wearing her hair up in a distinctive ponytail assumingly inspired by the famous ponytail Madonna sported in her Blond Ambition World Tour. However, this scene is supposed to be taking place in around 1987 and Madonna did not wear that ponytail until 1990.

Continuity: When Romy and Michele are eating their hamburgers Romy takes the top off her hamburger then looks up to stare at Billy but then the top is back on and she takes it off again.

Continuity: Throughout Michele's dream, Sandy Frank's limo has tinted windows and then in a next scene, the windows are not tinted.

Visible crew/equipment: When Romy & Michelle take off in the helicopter at the end of the movie, the shadow of the crane and camera is visible on the ground.

Continuity: After Romy's chat with Heather at the service station, her next customer says "finally" and then rests her head on her hand. When it shows her front her arm isn't there, then the camera angle changes, and it is again.

Continuity: Whenever Clarence throws a cigarette at Heather, when she picks it up it's in a different position than when it was thrown.
