Entry When the original novel was published, the author was identified as "Anonymous." As a result of curious professors and investigative journalists trying to identify the author, the person was identified as Joe Klein, an American magazine columnist who was working for the newsmagazine Newsweek. Investigators had shown that the writing style found in "Primary Colors" is identical to the writing style found in Klein's Newsweek articles.
Entry The film is a disguised account of the 1992 Clinton presidential campaign. The names of the principle characters had been changed (e.g. Jack Stanton represents Bill Clinton) from the real people they represent.
Entry President Bill Clinton loved the film loosely-based on him and the 1992 presidential campaign, that he had it shown at the White House.
