Star Wars picture

Other mistake: Before Uncle Owen yells for Luke, if you look very closely, a fly can be seen on the lens (best seen on the special edition release). The fly was removed in the 2019 release.

Other mistake: How is it that one slash on Amidala's back ripped off the entire midriff of her shirt, and a sleeve? (01:47:00)

Other mistake: In Finn's attempted sacrifice, there are plenty of logical inconsistencies. First, Rose's pod is to the side or behind Finn, but manages to beat Finn's pod to the cannon. The collision had a similarly high chance of killing Finn as would ramming the cannon. Finn then carries Rose back to the hideout faster than it took the speeder pods to reach the cannon.

Suggested correction: She beat Finn's pod because she was going full speed. The force from the shock waves slowed Finn down. Crashing saved Finns life. He was going to crash to burn inside the laser if she hadn't saved him.

The other speeders were ordered to retreat. Finn was going full speed, so as to maximize damage to the cannon.

Other mistake: To escape from the elevator, Anakin cuts a hole in the ceiling. Later, when they rescue the Chancellor, they almost get crushed by another elevator (it is another one. Each elevator has a number. Obi Wan said the number of this elevator before and it was different than the one that had the hole). However, when a shot of this elevator is shown, it has the same hole that the other elevator has (better seen in slow motion).

Other mistake: When Kylo/Ben leaves the Endor system to go to Exogol, he takes an old Imperial TIE Fighter he supposedly found in the Death Star remains. However, it is established in the previous films that that TIE fighters are short range fighters that are not equipped with a hyperdrive.

Suggested correction: A TIE fighter would never survive the death star crash. Kylo/Ben probably called for a TIE and took that.

But it's an old Imperial TIE, not a new First Order one.

Jon Sandys

Good point.

Other mistake: When in the cave, Leia falls and is caught by Han. She tells him that "being held by you isn't quite enough to get me excited." As she is saying this you can see Harrison Ford mouthing her exact words. (00:44:05)

Other mistake: DVD and Blu-ray only: in the Battle of Endor, right after the rebel fighter says "there's too many of them." The Millennium Falcon goes into 1/4 of the picture, you can see a black square spot on the right side of the flash frame due to a bad filter usage. Widescreen only. It does not appear in the 4K release even though it wasn't removed.

Other mistake: Towards the end, Chewbacca and Beckett have walked some distance from the landed yacht. They come up a small slope and are faced with Han, waiting for them. But an aerial shot shows that slope is very short and just runs down to a cliff. There's no way they could have got to the base of the slope to walk up it in the first place.

Other mistake: Director Krennic is shorter than Tarkin in their scene together. Krennic comes up to Tarkin's ears at best. Krennic is also shown to be about the same amount shorter than Darth Vader, roughly coming up to Vader's ears as well. But as shown in A New Hope, Tarkin is considerably shorter than Darth Vader. So by what was shown in A New Hope, Krennic should be much shorter, perhaps coming up to Vader's chest.
