Correction: Also, her parents probably did not care quite as much when she was a bit younger and her sister's wedding was not as imminent. When they saw her being picked up by the man, and when she got more serious about playing football, was when they started to get apprehensive.

If you look closely, the end of a microphone is shown leaning into the top left of the screen. The microphone moves a little, and then is moved back. (00:06:40)

Trivia: Parminder K Nagra, who plays Jess, is 17/18 in the film - she is getting her A level results part way through the film. It might surprise you to know that she was born on October 5 1975, making her 28.
