Continuity mistake: When John's wife is in the bathroom she drinks all of the water in a cup, but when she throws it the cup is full again. (01:29:00)
Continuity mistake: When former Cassius Clay is introduced to Elijia Mohammed to be given the new name - Mohammed Ali - we first can see Elijia Mohammed sitting on a sofa, with a table on his right, and a Revox Tape Recorder upon the table. Next scene, the Revox disappears.
Continuity mistake: At the end of the movie just after Johnny Depp makes his last run of drugs back, he is seated at a table with a curtain at his back. The curtain is split open and if you look close you can see someone standing behind the curtain - their hands are clasped together. Then as Johnny Depp goes to the bathroom and comes back the person is still there then he quickly walks away as Johnny Depp sits down.
Continuity mistake: In the scene on the sidewalk where Bev is pretending Faye is her mom (and she's practicing to tell her mom that she's pregnant) the same people walk by several times. I don't think there was a single shot-reverse-shot sequence that had the right people walking by at the right time. You saw the same couple, for example, walk by at least four different times.
Continuity mistake: When the young Vercingétorix arrives at Gergovia and tells his uncle that he is returning the horse, the blankets on the horse's back change position between shots. (00:04:00)
Continuity mistake: Early in the movie when there is a lunch scene, the host fills the wine glasses. In the next shot we see the glasses empty, but after that they're full once again.
