Trivia: At the beginning of this episode, Homer writes his own Christmas carol after being barred from performing traditional carols because of copyright issues. Around seven years after this episode aired, the musical artist Usher was ironically accused of plagiarizing one of the tunes Homer was working on with his song "OMG."

Trivia: Prior to the film's release, there was a tongue-in-cheek fan theory that speculated the Avengers would defeat Thanos by having Ant-Man shrink down, crawl into Thanos' anus, and then expand. This theory became so widespread that the Russo brothers and even Neil deGrasse Tyson commented on it and why it wouldn't work. Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly also briefly discussed the theory in character as Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne, respectively.

Trivia: The character Morph was created for the show, though he was based on a character from the comics called Changeling. The creators of the show created the character with the sole purpose of killing him off, in order to establish stakes, though he was later brought back because of his popularity. Showrunner Eric Lewald stated that originally the character of Thunderbird was going to be used instead of Morph, but they then decided against killing off who would have been the only Native American character on the show.

Trivia: At the end of the opening titles, there is a short bald man in a green outfit running with Magneto's crew. For years, fans had wondered who this character was, as he has no counterpart in the comics, and he only had a fleeting appearance in the season 1 episode "Slave Island." Series director Larry Houston finally revealed that the character is nobody in particular, and that he was mistakenly placed in the opening titles by the animation company AKOM.

Trivia: Chris Evans' appearance in this film's post-credit sequence marks the tenth time he has portrayed Captain America, surpassing Hugh Jackman for the record of playing the same comic book character in the most films. Evans would add on to his own record a few weeks later by appearing in Avengers: Endgame (Samuel L. Jackson later eclipsed this record). He also appeared in at least one MCU film every year between 2011 and 2019.

Trivia: During the climactic battle, before Doctor Strange returns with the other restored heroes, there is a wide shot of Captain America all by his lonesome walking towards Thanos. This is similar to a scene from the "Infinity Gauntlet" story, where amongst a slew of defeated heroes, Cap defiantly walks right up to Thanos and tells him he will never be able claim victory as long as at least one person stands against him.

Trivia: This film portrays the Kree Supreme Intelligence as an abstract form that takes the appearance of a person familiar to whomever is conversing with it. In the comics, the Supreme Intelligence does have an identifiable form: a floating green head somewhat resembling Jabba the Hutt with glowing yellow eyes and tentacles. A more comic book accurate iteration is briefly seen in the sequel, The Marvels.

Trivia: Jake Gyllenhaal, who portrays Mysterio in this film, nearly took over the role of Spider-Man from Tobey Maguire for "Spider-Man 2" after Maguire suffered a back injury filming "Seabiscuit."

Trivia: During the film's climax, a young boy in an Iron Man mask is shown standing up to one of the Hammer drones with Iron Man swooping in and destroying the drone and giving the kid the credit. Following Spider-Man's inclusion in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a fan theory suggested the young boy was Peter Parker, which Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige and Spider-Man actor Tom Holland would later retroactively confirm.

Trivia: Scrolling text on a news program in the film jokingly states that Christopher Plummer refused a role in the film. This is a dual reference to Plummer replacing Kevin Spacey in the film "All the Money in the World" after Spacey was accused of sexual misconduct, as well as TJ Miller also being accused of sexual misconduct prior to this film's release, which led to some people demanding that Miller be removed from the final film.

Trivia: Spoiler: Logan dies at the end, covered in blood and holding his daughter Laura's hand. Director James Mangold has acknowledged that this is a callback to a scene from "The Wolverine" in which Yukio, who can foresee how a person will die, said she saw a vision of Logan covered in blood and holding his heart in his hand. Laura being a metaphor for Logan's heart in this instance.

Trivia: Around the same time this show was airing, James Cameron was in the midst of developing a Spider-Man film which would have featured Sandman and Electro as the villains. Due to this plan, Sandman never appeared on this show despite being a prominent member of Spidey's rogue's gallery. Electro eventually made an appearance in the show's final season once it was determined that Cameron's film would never come to fruition, though the Electro that appeared on this show was a bastardized version of his comics counterpart.

Trivia: Doctor Strange learns of the coming of Thanos after Hulk/Bruce Banner crash lands into the Sanctum Sanctorum and informs Strange of the looming threat. This is taken straight from the "Infinity Gauntlet" storyline, though there it is Silver Surfer that warns Doctor Strange.

Suggested correction: While this is true, it's important to remember that later in the lab (the parasite removal scene) Yukio specifically says "I saw you die in a room like this with your heart in your hand."
A minor discrepancy in Yukio's vision doesn't invalidate what the director of both films himself considers to be an important point in the narrative.
