Radio Flyer (1992)

Factual error: The walkie-talkies the kids use at the end of the film would not make the squealing noise they do. The walkie-talkies they have transmit on high enough frequencies that this would not happen. Mediumwave and Shortwave have this effect, not walkie-talkies.

Fargo (1996)

Audio problem: When Carl is being beat up by Shep, Shep is shouting a whole bunch of obscenities and gibberish at Carl, but during several shots where we see his face, the audio is not matched up to what he is shouting.

16 Blocks (2006)

16 Blocks mistake picture

Other mistake: When Bruce and Mos Def are running through the alley near the beginning, they run past a Chinese man who slams a dumpster lid shut. Once Bruce pulls out his gun to look back, that same man starts running because he gets scared. In the next shot, he continues running, but soon stops as if he thinks filming is over. This is visible right before the camera pans to the right.

16 Blocks (2006)

Continuity mistake: Watch the newspapers on the front of the bus when Mos Def is getting off. At one point there is a big hole and you can see out, but in the very next shot a newspaper is covering it again.

Trivia: Notice how on the final subway they pass Booth street (a reference to John Wilkes Booth who killed Lincoln) and are supposed to get off at Oswald St (referencing Lee Harvey Oswald who assassinated Kennedy.) Another reference to Lincoln is made earlier in the film with the pictures.

Batman and Robin (1997)

Revealing mistake: In the beginning when the commissioner is talking to Batman in the batmobile, as the camera shakes, so does the image on the screen indicating a blue or green screened image. (00:03:15)

The Matador (2005)

Deliberate mistake: It's Christmas in Denver and there is snow on the ground. However, there still are quite a fair amount of leaves on the trees in various shots.

Revealing mistake: A split second before the black guy gets hit with the crutch by Michael Douglas' wife, you will notice he already has blood on his face prior to being hit. Though he gets hit before, the first time there is no blood. (01:15:55)

Man on Fire (2004)

Visible crew/equipment: When Denzel is trying to get information on Samuel Ramos he is talking to a woman on the phone. When we first see her talking next to her computer, this shot begins looking over a rail and pulls back. As the camera pulls back, the track that it is sitting on is visible on the bottom right of the screen. You can also see electrical wire next to the track.

The Quiet Man (1952)

Continuity mistake: When John Wayne first meets with the woman at the church, the first time we see her she puts a dark piece of clothing over her head. In the next scene, which is a closer angle, it is gone.

Visible crew/equipment: Towards the end of the film when Fabian is running, he jumps down some stairs and turns the corner. On the ground is a perfect shadow of the camera and its operator, which is quickly covered up by a camera movement.

manthabeat

Visible crew/equipment: When Fabian goes into his office after receiving the package, he closes the door and the rest of this shot is through the glass. The camera and its operator (with a white shirt) are visible on the right side.

U.S. Marshals (1998)

Audio problem: When Noah and the rest of the gang are chasing the Chinese man, Noah is the only one on foot. He sees the Chinese man get in a cab and calls for backup. The rest of the gang arrives seconds later. As Noah gets into the SUV, the sound of the car door closing can be heard before it actually does close (and it never really does in that scene). Question: What does the sequence with the fake Brill have to do with anything? I've watched this scene several times and can't find its significance in the film.

manthabeat

Chosen answer: The fake Brill is an undercover federal agent trying to find out what Will Smith knows about the video tape.

Mister Ed

Poor writing though as that character is never spoke of again.

Raising Arizona (1987)

Visible crew/equipment: During Hi's dream sequence where he describes the lone biker from hell, at several points you can see the shadow of the camera car on the road and on the bottom left of the screen before the rabbit gets a grenade thrown at it. This is visible on the VHS version.

American Beauty (1999)

Visible crew/equipment: As Carolyn and Lester pull up to their driveway while talking about the paper Lester has to write, the reflection of the camera and its operator is visible in the passenger door, below Lester. (Most visible when the camera moves closer to the car.) (00:06:55)
