Scream (1996)

Character mistake: When they are surprised by Gale, Billy angrily says to Stu "Man, I thought she was dead." To which Stu replies "She looked dead, man. Still does." However, Stu didn't have time to check on Gale, since she crashed the vehicle moments before Sidney is attacked by a Ghostface that had to be Stu himself (since he does the quick clothes switch coming from the car).

Scream (1996)

Character mistake: Sidney asks on the porch why Cotton couldn't prove that he was having an affair with her mom. Tatum's answer is "Well, you can't prove a rumor. That's why it's a rumor." That's quite the preposterous answer, especially since the point she wants to make is that it was not in fact 'just' a rumor.

Suggested correction: Tatum isn't trying to argue with Sidney. Tatum agrees that she doesn't know the truth about her mother's infidelity and certainly can't prove anything. Rather, what Tatum is trying to tell her - gently and somewhat indirectly - is that she believes the rumors, which is distinct from knowing the facts.

Scream 2 (1997)

Character mistake: Mrs. Loomis is crazy and does not really think things through (she finishes her speech saying "who gives a f..." and that she's untraceable anyway), however it's worth noting that when she tells Sidney the official version that the police will believe, she is wrong; she says it wiping the gun clean from prints and throwing it away, which means that the police would find the supposed murder weapon with neither Mickey nor Sidney's prints on it, and neither wears gloves. Moreover, she plans to disappear and she was prominently featured in the media coverage, so people would certainly investigate her at least as victim.

Suggested correction: I don't think that a psychopathic character acting irrationally and jumping to unlikely conclusions really constitutes a character mistake. But I do think it's also worth pointing out though that cops usually don't rely on fingerprints on guns anyway - the likelihood of finding a usable print on a gun is minuscule (only about 5%), and there's going to be traces of things like skin-oil and whatnot on it from being handled, so the cops will likely just assume it was used by someone in the room - the most likely candidate being either Sidney and Mickey. Mrs. Loomis is also using a false identity and has got surgery to change her face before, so she could likely disappear pretty easily. Real-life killers get away with disappearing all the time.

I am no expert in true crimes and forensics, I am just challenging the movie logic here (which is why I talk about the behaviour of a crazy character who is running exposition). What I get from your objection though is that the cops wouldn't be able to tell that she wiped the gun clean from prints and so that wouldn't stick out as suspicious? She didn't really change her face, since Sidney recognizes her when she gets a good look at her. Rewatching the scene anyway it's very evident that she does not really care because she simply puts her faith in the cops not being able to track the fictitious Debbie Salt, so I would be happy with a correction here, I was interested in pointing out that the whole first part about wiping the prints and throwing the gun aside does not seem to logically follow up, I take note that according to your objection using 'real science' and forensics practice it might not even be that.

Character mistake: When the uber-rival Cashious Villionaire explains the powers of the Lapis, he says "It's fantastic powers are exceptional when it comes to controlling one's mind...but it's powers cannot be used to fix one's heart." Twice in the same sentence the same grammar error.

Character mistake: When David Frost interviews the fictional actor Bryan Martin, he adds a last question to the interview saying "before you go" and acts as if the guest is not gonna stay (as it often happens in talk shows, when some guests, especially the more famous ones, leave after their bit is over). However Martin is staying and in fact there is a special mystery guest a bit later that makes sense only if he is in fact staying. (00:02:00)

Super Robot Wars 30

Character mistake: One of Ryoma's quotes for dodging when he reunites with the others from the Getter Team is "How matter how many times you try, you won't defeat us."

Scream 2 (1997)

Character mistake: The library of Windsor College is awful at cataloguing, since Sidney searches the "Social Sciences" section and her screen is full of books about Quantum Physics. (01:06:35)

Character mistake: In the King of Fighters 2002 chapter, after the defeat of her team, Mai Shiranui (segment "Road to the truth - before battle") shouts "No, Mr. King, I am mad." King is not a 'Mr', it's her fellow teammate and captain of the LADIES team since KoF 1994.

Character mistake: During Fudomaru's story mode, the enemies in cutscenes have some problems with the word "ninja" used in plural or generic sense; the Twins say "Here comes ninja", and Ohga says "Is ninja never afraid to die?"

Scream (1996)

Character mistake: Sid deduces that Billy could be the killer because he could have used his phone call from jail to make the threatening call. However, the deduction has to be incorrect, since if it was really Billy, he could have never used the voice-changing device.

Suggested correction: This will sound pedantic (hey, it's MovieMistakes.com, we're entitled), but I don't think this is what is meant by a character mistake. Sidney isn't presenting an erroneous fact that goes uncorrected, she's explaining an idea that had crossed her mind. Billy immediately gives a plausible response and by the end of the film it's evident who'd called her. The takeaway isn't that Billy could still be the killer but that Sidney can't help but suspect him despite their reconciliation.

World Heroes 2

Character mistake: J. Max's ending has a long and intentionally comical epilogue speech delivered in erudite style. However, it contains an obvious misspelling when it says; "Wherever these are people" instead of "there are."

Sammo

Character mistake: Shen Long's winquote against Hellstinger is "Hey kids! Your massage is a little rough." It's a single opponent, and calling him "kids" makes no sense. It's either a typo or a misplaced quote for the Platonic Twins character, which is two people in one avatar.

Breakers

Character mistake: In both Breakers and its remake, one of Tia Langray's winquotes says "What are you looking at? Do you look away since you think you can easily defeat me?" Either something is wrong with the translation, or it does not make sense as a post-fight winquote, but rather as a pre-fight quote.

Bionic Heart

Character mistake: In the "Tanya loves Luke" ending, there's a word missing from the on-screen display ("the" is omitted from "the whole population of London") - the voice acting properly uses it though.

Character mistake: During Babybelle's phone fling conversation about naming her flower-flavored wine, she says "Maybe I should say it tastes like a rose and it's thorns." Should be "its".

Ghostbusters 2 (1989)

Character mistake: Ray and Egon are giving Oscar the check-up; Ray suggests to run a "Gammill and Pross Infant Acuity Test", which does not exist and is an inside-joke in the screenplay, since Tom Gammill and Max Pross are a duo of comedy writers. Egon agrees and says that they'll finish with an Apgar score, which is a real pediatric term - but it's a test for literal newborns, not an eight months old one like Oscar. (00:16:05)
