Question: Did Kelly Van Ryan really love Sam Lombardo or was she trying to use him to get her mom's money? Or both?
Answer: Yes, Kelly WAS in love with Sam. And the money was just a bonus.
Answer: Kelly loved Sam and hated her mom. She wanted the money that was left to her by her grandfather and this was the only way to get it without her mom dying.

When A Stranger Calls (2006)
Question: How would the stranger have known that Jill was going to babysit that night. Did he follow her out there? Or was he just hanging around the area of the house waiting to see if the parents ever went out for a night and left a babysitter with the kids?
Answer: The stranger could not have followed Jill to the house because when Jill gets there, he is already at the house. The front door was open. As to the second part of your question: dumb luck. The stranger was hanging out at the guest house just waiting for the parents to leave.

Black Christmas (2006)

Question: Why would Agnes join Billy in his killing spree? She was a victim of him, losing an eye and her parents. She could've joined the sorority girls in stopping him.
Answer: Because Agnes is in love with her fatherbrother, and besides, they were invading her home, from her perspective.
Answer: Maybe like him she's also mentally ill, getting it from their mother. Maybe she feels doing this will bring them together.

The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999)
Question: Maybe I missed a major plot point, but why exactly does Tom kill his lover at the very end?
Chosen answer: Tom & his lover are travelling on a boat. The rich girl, who knows Tom as Dickie is also on the boat. If they were to meet, Tom's false identity would have been revealed, and the lover would have been able to figure out that Tom actually murdered Dickie.
Answer: He had to kill him. Tom couldn't kill Meredith because she wasn't alone and Peter was.

A Perfect Murder (1998)
Question: Near the beginning of the movie, why does Steven call the museum event an "inbred" soiree?
Answer: The way I always thought that it was Steven's way of putting David at ease, by making a joke.
I was curious about the meaning/definition of his wording, though. What did he mean by calling the event an "inbred soiree"?
This was Steven's way of being incredibly rude and offensive whilst knowing that he'd be sure to get away with it. Likely, he didn't much care for the attendees and he wasn't being shy about expressing this.

Wes Craven's New Nightmare (1994)
Question: Just out of curiosity and I'm sorry if this seems like a dumb question, but was Freddy possessing Dylan, or was Dylan just going "crazy" from lack of sleep? Or was Freddy somehow using Dylan to get into the real world outside of Heather/Nancy?
Answer: The way I understand it is: Freddy is dead. He was possessing no-one. From what I've read, there was some form of evil entity using Freddy as a figurehead to get into our realm. So if anyone was possessing anyone at all, it was the evil entity.

Olympus Has Fallen (2013)
Question: What happened to the terrorists in the garbage trucks after the attack moved inside the White House? We just see their trucks there when the response team arrives. I figured they would be told to engage the response team in a sort of last stand to cause as much chaos as possible.
Answer: One of the garbage man terrorists was killed; the others were fully prepared to die for the cause. After all, they had accomplished their objective. They were no longer needed.

Olympus Has Fallen (2013)
Question: If the terrorists in the AC-130 gunship were to directly attack the White House, then what was the purpose of them shooting and killing civilians before doing so? Was it simply because Kang's group was maniacally there to kill people and they didn't care who?
Answer: Whilst this is never explicitly explained in the film, I do believe that it was exactly that: kill as many people, civilian or authorities, as possible before achieving their final goal.

From Hell (2001)
Question: Who killed Martha Tabram? Just like in the real world, doubt is cast on her murder as to whether or not it was Jack the Ripper due to the differences in her murder and those of the other prostitutes. So was it just another member of the Freemasons?
Answer: I've always suspected (thought) that the man who murdered Martha was the guy with the knife who threatened Mary Kelly and used the weapon to cut off her buttons. McQueen. Wasn't he the 1888s version of a pimp?

Heathers (1988)
Question: After Veronica convinces Heather McNamara not to kill herself, she suggests they "knock off early". Are they just going to skip class, or are they possibly allowed to leave school if they are seniors? At least, during the time when this movie was made (before the increased security concerns of recent years).
Answer: Yes, Veronica meant skipping class. And, as seniors, they may have been allowed to leave the school grounds.
Answer: She means to leave school early; whether they are allowed to or not cannot be determined from the context of their conversation.

A Perfect Murder (1998)
Question: I've seen this movie and there's still one thing I can't figure out. Why did Steven want to kill his wife?
Answer: Steven needed money and his wife was worth a lot of money. She was already having an affair and was planning on leaving him. If she left, Steven could be left with nothing and still in financial troubles. By killing her before she divorces him, he'd be entitled to her wealth, plus the money from her life insurance policy.
Answer: Along with the answers by Bishop73 and ChristmasJonesFan, I think Steven also wanted to kill Emily before she could leave him. She complained to her friend that "every single thing always has to be on his terms." As a controlling person, he would not tolerate her leaving him. This is implied during their fight at the end, when he says "I'll tell you when it's over."
Answer: Also, Emily never signed a prenup so if she dies, he gets like a hundred million bucks.

Halloween Ends (2022)
Question: Why would the town turn on Laurie and accuse her of provoking Michael's attacks when she was a victim and spent almost the entire time in the hospital?
Answer: Michael's primary target is Laurie but, since he's also going around killing random people, most likely everybody believes that Michael is killing anybody who gets in his way to get to Laurie.
Answer: Because the town, Haddonfield, needed someone, anyone, to blame, and Laurie, being that she survived both the '78 killings and then the 2018 massacre, was likely the only viable choice.

The Bourne Supremacy (2004)
Question: How did Bourne get out of Russia with a bullet wound and the Russian cops looking for him?
Answer: His elite training gave him the advantage over his pursuers and his skill, cunning and guile helped with his evasion of the authorities. Also, his extensive training in counter manoeuvres would have afforded him this such luxury. Remember Bourne was a professional.

All the Boys Love Mandy Lane (2006)
Question: At first, was Mandy serious about committing suicide with Emmett, or did she want him to die and be solely blamed for the murders?
Answer: The way I look at it is Mandy was all for suicide with Emmett but then once she met Garth all of that changed, and she wanted to be with him. It was at this point that Emmett became expendable if you will and had to die. He became the scapegoat/sacrificial lamb. This is just my opinion.

Freddy Vs. Jason (2003)
Question: When Will convinces Mark to hold off leaving town so he can go save Lori, Mark says "OK, but if you're not here by morning, I'm outta here." Just wondering how Mark was going to leave town (if he survived the night and Will didn't make it back) since Will had his vehicle?
Answer: He could choose to either hitchhike or get someone to take him to the next town.
Answer: Mark could have hiked on out of town. Or he could have bicycled. Or got a bus. Or a cab.
Answer: The town has said no-one comes in, and no-one leaves (which how do some of the character get to crystal lake which is in the movie mistakes as a plot hole) how could he leave?

Chosen answer: Laura was killed by her father Leland, whilst he was apparently possessed by the spirit BOB. The exact manner of her murder is not clear, as several injuries found during her autopsy we later discover occurred during a separate incident before her murder. We know that she was beaten and killed in an abandoned train car, and her body was then wrapped in plastic and thrown in the river.
