Corrected entry: In the opening shot, Dorothy is kneeling on the road to comfort Toto. As she stands up, you can see that she has three wet spots on her dress-front. When she arrives in the farmyard, the spots are gone.

Empire of the Sun (1987)
Corrected entry: Jim doesn't age during the movie. He was in the prison camp for about three and a half years. When we first see him he looks about 12. By the end of the movie he should be a gangly teenager but he hasn't aged a day.
Correction: While this is true, some license should be allowed given the awkward age range involved. Twelve to sixteen isn't really a big enough change to warrant a second, older actor, especially since many sixteen-year-olds don't look particularly adult. And there's not much you can do with makeup in that age range either. (It's not like he ages from five to fifteen, or twenty to fifty.) This is just a case of suspending your disbelief. Or, poor treatment in a prison camp could stunt his growth and/or delay onset of puberty.

Beauty and the Beast (1991)
Corrected entry: When the beast is waiting for Belle to come for dinner, the doorknob moves. He thinks it's Belle, but it turns out to be Cogsworth. Cogsworth is about ten inches tall- how did he reach the doorknob?
Correction: Half the palace is enchanted; who's to say the door isn't?

Clueless (1995)
Corrected entry: In the scene where Cher & Christian are in the mall shopping, Christian pulls a leather jacket out of a shopping bag. He holds it up and asks: "James Dean or Jason Priestly?". Just then he hears Ty screaming in fear, as she is being held over the railing by two hooligans. Christian then throws down his jacket to go help Ty. After the incident, when they are all leaving the mall, Cher goes over to pick up their bag of purchases. She picks up Christian's bag, which now has the leather jacket back inside. But he didn't have time to put it back in the bag during the commotion.

War of the Worlds (2005)
Corrected entry: In the scene where Cruise and the neighbours run into their back gardens to watch the storm, Cruise comments that it is unusual that the wind is blowing towards the storm. The eye of the storm is an area of low pressure, which means that the wind would naturally blow towards it, in order to equalise the atmospheric pressure.
Correction: Cruise's character is hardly a meterologist. The wind direction may seem strange to him, but character ignorance is not a movie mistake.

Poltergeist (1982)
Corrected entry: At one point during the scenes where the mother is communicating with Carol Anne through the TV, the investigator asks her where Carol Anne was playing when she disappeared. The mother replies "In her bedroom closet." Carol Anne wasn't playing in her bedroom closet - she was in bed.
Correction: With all the toys in the closet, Diane may have assumed that Carol Anne had gotten out of bed to play.

The Simpsons (1989)
Corrected entry: Moe says there hasn't been a woman in the bar since 1979, implying that the bar has been around for at least a couple decades. But in a later episode, a flashback shows that Moe's grand opening was nine months before Bart was born. And we all know Bart is 10.

Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991)
Corrected entry: At the beginning, the T-1000 is naked, and so he puts on real clothing. However, whenever he changes shape, the clothes also morph as though they were part of him, which they aren't.
Correction: The T-1000 doesn't put on the clothes, he samples them. For instance when he becomes the security guard, the guy steps where the T-1000 is on the ground and he takes that sampling to become a replica of the guy- there are two of them, and two sets of clothes. The data for the clothing is in the T-1000, so he can make it change and appear/disappear as he wishes.

Beauty and the Beast (1991)
Corrected entry: When the horse Phillipe comes back, Belle is on a grass covered hill far away from the house. When she takes the machine off of Phillipe, the machine is still in the cart and the brown cover is on. Later in the film, when Belle and Maurice are stuck in the cover, Chip sees this machine and it is much closer to the house, the grass on the field is gone, the machine is out of the cart and the cover is no longer there.

Million Dollar Baby (2004)
Corrected entry: In addition to the already mentioned comments about the fact that Swank's character could have refused the ventilator, no Doctor would have amputated her leg without her consent.
Correction: This wasn't without her consent. She knew she had bad blood pooling in her leg and that it had to come off.

Beauty and the Beast (1991)
Corrected entry: How did the villagers know where to find the Beast's castle? They are obviously not aware of it when Belle tells them about it, and Belle and Maurice are the only people who do know and they are locked up in a cellar. Also, it obviously takes about a day's traveling, as seen when Maurice and Belle come, but they are able to make the journey in about an hour, even though they also have to take the time to chop down and carry a tree.
Correction: Gaston still has the magic mirror, which probably helps them find the correct roads to take. Maurice got lost on the way to the castle so it took him a little longer to get there, but it's still not evident that it took either he or Belle more than a few hours to go between the village and the castle. (It's still daytime when the horse returns all the way to the village to find Belle, and she arrives at the castle that night. And later Belle leaves the castle at night and arrives home with her father the same night.)

Beauty and the Beast (1991)
Corrected entry: The coat the beast is wearing in the painting of himself in human form is much lighter blue when Belle looks at it than it is when the Beast tears it.
Correction: It's been a long time, and the paint could have faded or been bleached by the sun.

Corrected entry: How does the lion know about the Sphinx if he's lived all his life in the land of Oz and never is told about it by Dorothy?

Mrs. Doubtfire (1993)
Corrected entry: This movie does not seem to be set at a particular time. The family watch Dick Van Dyke on TV, seemingly indicating that the film is set in the late 60's. However, at the beginning of the movie, Daniel is doing the voice-over for a very Looney Tunes type of cartoon, implying that this movie is set in the 50's. Then at Chris's party, the music they are playing is of the 90's era.
Correction: Dick Van Dyke is shown in reruns all the time. And just because Daniel's show is similar to a Looney Tunes cartoon doesn't mean it is one, and it's not like cartoons weren't made in the 90's as well. And given that everything else in the film from clothes to cars to appliances is from the 90's, not to mention pop culture references, there's really no question as to when the movie is set. Plus at the dinner meeting with the boss of the TV studio. Daniel says 'well it is the 90s' when he asks if his waitress friend has a girlfriend.

Napoleon Dynamite (2004)
Corrected entry: When Napoleon is on a lunch break from his "job," he's eating a sandwich and less than 3 seconds/two shots later he has a glass of the "egg juice." There is no way he would be able to grab a glass, pour the drink, and get back where he was standing that quickly.
Correction: The scene is like a montage; it's not supposed to be in real time.

Road Trip (2000)
Corrected entry: The guys are traveling to Texas - as they are supposedly passing through Atlanta it is quite clear that they are in Nashville, TN instead... the reason you can tell? The giant Bell South building which is quite often called "The Batman Building" is visible in the background...
Correction: They're never supposed to be in Atlanta. They travel southwest through Kentucky, Tenessee and Arkansas, but never go through Georgia at all. It's out of their way.

The Gift (2000)
Corrected entry: Three times in the movie there are clear shots at a clock to show us a particular timing. The first two come when Annie has a vision about the girl who was killed, and the last one is when she sees who the murderer is. The first two times we see the clock, it shows 06.28 but the third and the last time, the clock shows a completely different timing. It is more around 1 o'clock than half past six. This is very strange as the timing plays somewhat a big role in the movie.
Correction: No, the time is always 1:28. The tiny little hand indicating the time the alarm is set for is on the six, but the hour hand is always at half past one.

The Little Mermaid (1989)
Corrected entry: In the scene where Ariel is watching the people on the ship Ariel says to Scuttle "Not that one, the one playing the snarfblat." (Snarfblat is a pipe) the person that Ariel would be talking about (Eric) doesn't have a snarfblat, and even if she was talking about Grimsby (who does have a pipe later on in the movie) who at that point in time he doesn't have one ether.

Lost (2004)
Corrected entry: Locke had been in the wheelchair for 4 years, then miraculously, he is able to walk again after the plane crash. After 4 years in the wheelchair, his leg muscles would have deteriorated so badly, his legs would not have been able to even support his own weight, let alone walk or jog.
