Continuity mistake: Dr. Werner Ernst is talking with nurse Stella as he has his cup of hot liquid. She asks him "Is the world really that shallow?" James Spader is holding the cup from the top without using the handle, but in the next shot he is holding it from the side instead as he puts it down on the desk. (00:04:35)
Continuity mistake: In the sequence with Terence Hill and Marvin Hagler giving chase to the bad guys, when the baddies break the guard-rail and supposedly drop one level, the lights of the chasing car are still fully visible through the back window before the good guys take the same dive from the highway ramp.
Factual error: The opening line references a solar eclipse happening in Italy on October 13 1996, but gets it one day wrong. The phenomenon happened on October 12. (00:00:30)
Revealing mistake: At the very beginning of the film, we see the transfer vehicle carrying Jack driving down the road. You can tell in several shots that the (fake) snow isn't really falling, but is just being blown in front of the camera from off-screen, especially since there's no snow hitting the road, and it's coming from the side, not above.
