Easter egg: In the Special Edition DVD (with the white slipcover), if you go to the menu which tells about the equipment of "The Abyss", go to the "surface", where it talks about the wave and the Benthic Explorer. If you hit the up arrow on the wave, the plane flying overhead is highlighted. Select it to see a trailer for "True Lies," a movie that James Cameron directed.
Easter egg: Go to the side of the DVD that doesn't have Special Features on it. There should be a button for it anyhow. If you click it, Weird Al will come out and say, "Hey, the special features are on the other side of the DVD." Do it again. And one more time. The last time he screams at you.
Easter egg: On the feature disc in the menu where you can access the director's commentary and deleted scenes, click to the right to see a baseball player light up. The director will explain who the voice is.
Easter egg: This is found on disc. 2 of the Platinum Edition DVD, in Backstage Disney in Treasures Untold: The Making of the Little Mermaid. You have to click to the right on Act V: A Mermaid Sings which reveals an anchor. If you select this you will see The Little Mermaid handshake performed by the co-directors.
