Other mistake: In a flashback of Lopez stealing the gem stone, he places the idol in his bag and closes it. If you watch the idol as it closes, an animation error occurs where it vanishes from shot just before the bag finishes closing, revealing that the animators forgot to draw it in each individual frame. Continuity mistake: After Tintin escapes the villains, he takes off driving the villains' purple car. The car becomes pink overnight. (00:32:00)

Continuity mistake: The villains throw a rope at Tintin and pull him towards them. The shot after one of them takes out a bat, Tintin's coat is dark blue. 2 shots later, the coat is now a light blue. (00:30:30)
