Revealing mistake: After the plane flies off, the gunmen continue to fire. If you look at the gunman on the bottom left, every time he shoots, a small smoke cloud comes out of the shotgun. The smoke cloud just stays on the edge of the shotgun until he shoots the next time. (00:20:55)

Other mistake: The detectives run away from a goat that chases after them. If you watch their movements and the goat's movements, you will see the goat isn't running in the direction they are running in just after they jump over a sand hill. (00:15:25)

Revealing mistake: The shot of the letter being placed into the envelope and being stamped with the symbol is used twice. The first time is after Tintin meets R.J. Rastapopolis. The second time is after the boat arrives at the docks and Tintin goes onto another boat. Continuity mistake: Tintin and Sarcophagus are standing a meter apart from each other as Rastapopolis leaves after shouting at Tintin. In the next shot, they are standing right next to each other. (00:03:20)

Revealing mistake: On the boat, Tintin chases after a paper. There is a shot of a man being handed a drink and the paper continues to blow away. Keep an eye on the paper and you will see it disappears before it reaches the end of the screen. (00:01:35)
Chosen answer: If Hector was seriously intent on removing King Ottokar's scepter from the glass cage holding it and launching it through the window with the camera, then Hector would have been forced to knock out the two guards so they would not have interfered with Hector's plan as soon as he removed the scepter from the glass. As for Hector, himself, was explained when Tintin was explaining how Hector stole the scepter. Tintin placed a twig inside the camera and it launched out of the camera. Hector would have placed the scepter inside of the camera, and would have been knocked unconscious due to the spring effect created when the scepter had been launched.
