Continuity mistake: For the greater part of the air duel, the jet of the bad guys has one window, but in the landing and in other shots it has two windows. (00:45:40)
The Arrow That Is Not Aimed - S3-E13
Visible crew/equipment: Fukuda-san is not impressed by Magnum making excuses for Tozan. When Tozan says "There is nothing to say. Fukuda-san is right", set lights are reflected in Tom Selleck's sunglasses. (00:27:00)
Did You See the Sun Rise? - S3-E1
Revealing mistake: Going through the database with Lieutenant Maggie Poole, Magnum spots finally Ivan's picture. This involuntary puts a rather hilarious twist to one of the most famous and dramatic endings of a TV episode, since that picture from the military intelligence database is exactly from the 'future', aka the ending of the episode; Ivan is wearing the same black suit and tie (pretty weird already with the setting) that he will wear in the ending, and is even in front of the same tree leaf by leaf. Visible crew/equipment: Higgins butts in the innuendo-laced tennis exchange between the three friends at the beginning of the episode. Very first frame he's in, and look at the boom mike shadow on the left of the screen, on the floor. (00:03:30)
Revealing mistake: In one of the many cartoonish scenes involving Rick, he gets utterly stunned by the weak silly airplane-spin like movie Borgnine performs on him and after a chirping birds sound effect is played, he - or rather, his stuntman - does a Ric Flair faceflop. The stuntman is wearing tennis shoes with clean rubber soles. After his scene with Higgins, Magnum arrives with TC and Rick in a headlock - Rick falls in that shot, and he is wearing patent dress shoes with black soles. (00:27:20 - 00:29:40)
Continuity mistake: Discussing the hanged figurine in Higgins' study, Magnum is holding the string very close to the noose in the close-up, but definitely at large distance in the wider angles. (00:12:00)
Other mistake: During the airport reunion with father and son, there are several boxes of "Cole" brand pineapples...which are just Dole brand pineapples with masking tape put on to alter the letter D to a C. The tape came off one box revealing the original unaltered letter - you can also see it on the side of a box carried by an extra, Cole on the front, but Dole on the side. (00:43:05)
Continuity mistake: Magnum walks back to the car after spending 4 hours at the archives. A woman with a brown dress with a red belt crosses his path and walks away. Magnum then stands in front of the parkometer (and the parking tickets), but the woman is just then passing him by. (00:23:00)
Continuity mistake: In the hilarious stretched out comedy scene with Magnum trying to chase the suspect in his armor, whenever he is shown charging at the door and eventually breaking in, he is wearing the sword that he never retrieved - and in the moments when it's Tom Selleck in the armor and not a stuntman, he is not wearing it. The Eighth Part of the Village - S3-E3
Continuity mistake: Magnum is struggling to load the big heavy crate in the van, or make it budge at all. Over half of the crate is in the shadow of the building, but in the rest of the scene when Magnum has to fight the two muscleheads off, it's suddenly fully in the sun. (00:09:30)

Visible crew/equipment: When TC's helicopter is landing on Robin's lawn, right after the "Written by Donald P. Bellisario" credit, look at the left of the screen, right side of the helicopter, to see a cameraman filming from it. (00:09:25)
Continuity mistake: When Magnum jumps over the garden wall, he bumps into rolled up rugs, unfurling one. Which looks the same way at the end of the scene when the same camera angle is used. But the middle part of the scene is shot in a different angle, closer to Tom Selleck's face as he crawls to Higgins and gets up, and in that angle the rugs are piled together in a different way, with the unrolled rug draped over the others. Continuity mistake: When TC's chopper lands in the prison courtyard, its registration mark is N1095A, while when it is shown on the open ocean it is N58243 and it has emergency floats equipped on its skids. (00:07:45 - 00:10:20)

Revealing mistake: The actress playing Julie Barbara has short dark hair as is abundantly clear during the lengthy scenes involving her. But for the shot of the explosion, the stuntperson wears a long blonde wig. (00:41:40)
