How to Catch a Papa Bear - S4-E3

Will the Blue Baron Strike Again? - S4-E12

Factual error: The "Blue Baron" tells the dancer that the Kaiser gave him a certain medal. In fact, the medal he points to (and the girl fondles) is a WW2 repeat badge to the Iron Cross first class, instituted in 1939 to denote presentations of the Iron Cross first class to personnel who had already received it in WW1. He may have received the original Iron Cross from the Kaiser, but by the time he had a chance to receive that repeat badge, the Kaiser was long through handing out medals.

The Return of Major Bonacelli - S4-E25

Revealing mistake: When Hogan, Carter and Le Beau are talking to Schultz, you can see it is an overcast day. After Hochstetter comes in and the camera cuts to them talking about Bonacelli, it goes back to Hogan. You can now see that they are on a sound stage. The reasons are that the guard isn't moving in the tower, the boys are well lit, and as Hogan and Le Beau go into the barracks, you can see differences in the painting of the sky on the back drop.

The Purchasing Plan - S4-E22

Continuity mistake: After the prisoners have loaded the truck, they stand around and the tailgate of the truck is down. Major Hochstetter arrives and we see the tailgate is raised. Next scene it is again in the lowered position.

My Favorite Prisoner - S4-E18

Plot hole: In several occasions throughout the story, e.g. S4E18, Hogan attends parties at Stalag 13 wearing an immaculate US dress uniform. Where did he get that? Dress uniforms are not part of the usual kit a bomber crew brings along with them on their missions.

Bad Day in Berlin - S4-E11

Factual error: Hogan and his men are in Berlin to capture a traitor. They arrive at the Hotel Berlin in an ambulance and park near a K2 phone booth, something only found in England and its colonies, certainly never in the heart of Nazi Germany.

Happy Birthday, Dear Hogan - S4-E26

Continuity mistake: LeBeau meets a female underground contact in a movie theater. They have to kiss to avoid detection by the Gestapo. When LeBeau leaves the theater there are no lip stick kisses on his right cheek, but when he returns to camp he has some.

Snag.1

How to Catch a Papa Bear - S4-E3

Factual error: In the tunnel Hogan loads a magazine into a US issue .45 pistol and points it at Myra, but he never chambered a round and didn't cock the hammer on the pistol. The .45 pistol in WW2 was single action. For a single action pistol to fire, a round needs to be chambered and the hammer has to be cocked manually before the trigger is pulled and the pistol to fire.

Man's Best Friend Is Not His Dog - S4-E6

Revealing mistake: As Schultz holds Newkirk's hat during the search, you can see "Dawson" written on the inside band. This was to insure that Richard Dawson (Newkirk) always had the right wardrobe pieces.

Clearance Sale at the Black Market - S4-E1

Character mistake: When Hogan addresses him, Major Kiegel sends the girls away from his table by saying "Raus!" The word "raus" used as an imperative literally means "out" in the sense of "leave the room" - he would be ordering the girls to leave the tavern, or at least the tap room in this case. It's not correct German to use it to send somebody away from a table.

Bad Day in Berlin - S4-E11

Factual error: The ambulance Major Teppel transports the prisoners in is a Dodge WC54, which is an American military ambulance, not a German one.

Guess Who Came to Dinner? - S4-E9

Deliberate mistake: When Schultz drives off with the motorcycle leaving the sidecar behind, you can see that the sidecar has been propped up. It has to be, or it would fall over. Sidecars, bringing only one wheel to the party themselves, can't stand up on their own.

Happy Birthday, Dear Hogan - S4-E26

Plot hole: In the cinema, Hogan and his female underground contact avoid attention from a passing plain clothes policeman by kissing. This is wrong for three reasons. Firstly, 3rd Reich Germany wasn't so liberal that open kissing in the cinema would have passed as normal, it would probably rather have been viewed as libertine and offensive. Secondly, the scene takes place with a speech of Hitler as the background, which can hardly be viewed as romantic, and thirdly, this is even more true for the Gestapo, who was tasked with ratting out political dissent. To a Gestapo officer, ignoring the Führer's speech and kissing instead would make them stand out doubly.

Continuity mistake: At the airfield, Carter and Newkirk go to move, Carter steps left, and falls into the water. Newkirk takes a step, and leaps into the water, losing his hat, and trying to make it look like Carter pulled him, but you can see him looking to the way he falls. Operation Hannibal - S4-E17

Revealing mistake: While talking about Von Baler's daughter, Hogan is facing the building talking with Carter and Newkirk. Behind him is an open area of the camp. If you look, you can see that there is no guard in the tower, no shadow of the tower of the guard hut (the sun is behind them and Hogan), and the snow is piled up about three feet behind Hogan, suggesting that the background is a wall mural in the studio.

Clearance Sale at the Black Market - S4-E1

Revealing mistake: The Major goes to shoot out the light that the boys have turned on so Kinch can get the pictures. The first shot is angled too low to hit the bulb, but there is no impact on the front of the door's crosspiece; the smoke and dust comes from behind it. The second shot gets the bulb, but there is no muzzle flash, just sound. Also, there is no impact mark on the brick wall behind the bulb.

Will the Blue Baron Strike Again? - S4-E12

Revealing mistake: When Hogan, Newkirk, and Carter are at the Blue Baron's secret airfield, Hogan opens the barrel and stuffs in a rag and lights it so it will be a flare for the Allied bombers. The flight line and the planes on it are an obvious cutout. The fire couldn't have spread to the surrounding ground like it was shown. Also, when the bombs were going off on the airfield, you can see that the explosions are very small charges behind the cut outs.

Continuity mistake: In the beginning, the guys are listening in on Klink's office. The cup in front of Newkirk has four pencils in it. The colors from left to right are yellow, red, blue, and orange. Klink's Old Flame - S4-E20

Factual error: When the farmer sticks his pitchfork into the haystack, a scream is heard, but then everybody emerges unscathed. Wounds from pitchforks aren't like sitting on a brass tack - even a quick jab usually earns you a trip to the surgeon (I've seen such wounds), a vigorous stab like the one in the scene would go through limbs and could easily kill a man. There's no way anybody would walk away from such a hit.

Color the Luftwaffe Red - S4-E8

Factual error: The medal Newkirk steals from the German officer in the pub is a Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords. There were a total of 148 presentations, most of them 1943-45. By 1942 (where the series is apparently set), less than 25 had been presented. That Newkirk should actually stumble across a wearer by pure chance is highly unlikely, that the wearer should actually "never miss it" as Newkirk states, is plainly impossible. Being the fourth highest ranking military decoration of the Wehrmacht, it would have been missed almost immediately - if not by the wearer himself, then by his fellow officers.
