Continuity mistake: When LeBeau comes out of Hogan's quarters after feeding Newkirk chicken soup, he is holding a bowl with a spoon in his right hand. As he talks back and forth with Hogan and Schultz, the spoon jumps from in front of his thumb to behind it.
Continuity mistake: After the prisoners have loaded the truck, they stand around and the tailgate of the truck is down. Major Hochstetter arrives and we see the tailgate is raised. Next scene it is again in the lowered position. (00:17:40)
Klink vs. the Gonculator - S4-E2
Continuity mistake: In the barracks, as Lutz stands by the gonculator, Hogan's hand toys with the power cord. A second later, both his hands are at his sides.
Continuity mistake: As Major Tepple (Morrison) lays the deck of cards in Hogan's room on the table, the bottom card is not neatly in the deck. When the camera cuts to another angle, the deck is neatly stacked.
Continuity mistake: When Helga brings in Klink's dinner and sits it down, Klink takes off his monocle. In the close up, it's on and his hands are folded, then he points to a chess piece, contemplating a move. In the wide shot, he's holding his monocle, and puts it on.

Continuity mistake: As Schultz is by the car, Hogan is behind the fire brigade equipment. When Klink calls Schultz, Hogan gets up from behind the equipment. A second later, in a closeup, he comes up from behind the equipment again.
Who Stole My Copy of Mein Kampf? - S4-E16
Continuity mistake: At the end, Colonel Sitzer pushes Hogan away, calls for music, and puts his left hand over the microphone, with his right hand hanging by his side. A second later, his right hand is mid way up the stand.
Will the Blue Baron Strike Again? - S4-E12
Continuity mistake: The cigar Hogan takes from Klink goes from green to light brown when starts to name the top invitees to the party.
Continuity mistake: As the ambulance leaves the hotel, there is snow on top of the fenders and spare tire. Back at the truck, there is snow on the fenders, but not the spare. This would be impossible as at the speed driven, the snow would have blown off any horizontal surface.
Continuity mistake: As Hogan, Carter, and Newkirk go to get out of the Army truck, the ambulance doors are wide open. As Hogan walks by, the doors are straight out toward the truck.
Continuity mistake: Col Hogan eats Col Klink's chicken leg and places it back on the plate with meat still on the bone. When Col Klink picks up the chicken leg after, there is no meat on the bone. It's stripped bare. (00:01:00 - 00:03:00)

Continuity mistake: The dog LeBeau is holding shifts position on his arm with each camera change.
Continuity mistake: In Klink's quarters, Hogan is complaining about Berger's activities. As he does, he goes to eat a sandwich with his left hand. After the angle change, he has both hands on it.
Continuity mistake: At the end, while Hogan and Klink are talking, Hogan's right arm alternates between being up with a note in hand to down at his side between shots.
Will the Blue Baron Strike Again? - S4-E12
Continuity mistake: When Hogan is listening to Kinch, his overcoat is open. When camera cuts from him to Newkirk and Kinch and then back, Hogan's overcoat is shut.
Continuity mistake: In the lobby, Morrison has his gloves on, and never removes them. When he reacts to the gun shot, the gloves are gone.
Continuity mistake: Metsker never removes his right glove, as it is visible in all close ups. In the last wide shot, his glove is suddenly in his left hand.
The Return of Major Bonacelli - S4-E25
Continuity mistake: Klink poses for a picture in quarter profile of the right side of his face for Bonacelli, who is actually getting a shot of the guns. Later, you see the picture, and Klink is fully facing the camera.
Clearance Sale at the Black Market - S4-E1
Continuity mistake: When Hogan is talking to Kiegel, Hogan's eyes are level as he looks across the table at Kiegel. After Kiegel says "Not good enough!", the camera cuts to a close up of Hogan, and he's now looking up as if the Major is standing. A moment later, the Major stands and leaves.
The Witness - S4-E23
Continuity mistake: In the beginning, the guys are listening in on Klink's office. The cup in front of Newkirk has four pencils in it. The colors from left to right are yellow, red, blue, and orange. After the camera cuts to Hogan and Kinch, the wide shot shows five pencils arranged yellow, black, blue, red, and orange.
Answer: It's a comedy, not a documentary.
