Glee

Wheels - S1-E9

Continuity mistake: In "Wheels," when Artie is singing 'Dancing By Myself' and doing tricks in his wheelchair, the wheels on the back of the chair that prevent him from falling backwards disappear and reappear, depending on whether or not he is performing a trick.

Hell-O - S1-E14

Continuity mistake: In "Hell-O", as Santana and Brittney are talking about the "hottest guys in the school", Santana's glass is almost empty. Yet two shots later, when she takes a drink, her glass is full. Also, when she says "Would you mind waiting in the car?" her glass is full and you can obviously see a slice of lemon in it. Yet in the next shot, when she says "And leave your credit card", her glass is only about 1/3 full and the lemon slice is gone.

Hell-O - S1-E14

Continuity mistake: In "Hell-O", as Finn is dribbling the ball down the court, the timer behind him is counting down from 26. Yet two shots later, after he looks at Rachel and the other team steals the ball, the timer is counting down from 34.

Mattress - S1-E12

Other mistake: When Finn and Rachel sing Smile in the Choir Room in Mattress (Season 1, Episode 12), Finn doesn't appear to look at any other page but the first one in the music given to him by Rachel. It is unlikely that the entire score for the song was on the first page.

Douglasac

Pilot - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: During "Don't Stop Believing" at the line "He took the midnight train going anywhere," Rachel extends her hand with her palm facing the floor. In the next shot, it instantly changes to her palm facing the seats of the auditorium. (Timecode listed for the director's cut of the episode.) (00:44:00)

Acafellas - S1-E3

Continuity mistake: When Mercedes is singing "Bust Your Windows", the blue rags on Kurt's car behind her change position several times. Also, Kurt is at first looking up at the hole in his windshield, then has his head down on the hood, and then is looking up at the hole again, over a series of 3 or 4 shots.

The Power of Madonna - S1-E15

Continuity mistake: In "The Power of Madonna", during the Cheerios stilts routine, as the people on stilts lift one leg one after the other, they are in a V shape, and there are both girls and boys on stilts. Yet in the very next shot, as the people on stilts swing the other Cheerios around, there are only 3 Cheerios, all guys, on stilts, and they are in a straight line.

Laryngitis - S1-E18

Continuity mistake: During "Laryngitis", Puck pulls Mercedes up to come sing "Lady is a Tramp" with him. Yet in the very next shot, just as she starts singing, she stands up again. So she stood up twice.

The Rhodes Not Taken - S1-E5

Continuity mistake: During "Last Name", just as April is singing "We left the club," she backs up into Kurt in the wide shot, yet during the very next shot she is still a couple of feet away from him.

Ballad - S1-E10

Continuity mistake: When Kurt goes to sit down and play the piano for Finn, he is wearing cream coloured pants. Yet in the closeup shot of his hands, he is wearing jeans.

Dream On - S1-E19

Continuity mistake: When Artie tries to walk with crutches after the "step dance" practice with Tina, he falls down violently. Immediately after the fall, the crutch is still attached to his left arm, which is angled away from his body. In the very next shot, the crutch is almost a foot away from his arm, which lies now at a different angle. (00:10:05)

nightline

Home - S1-E16

Continuity mistake: During "Home", when Mercedes is singing "Beautiful", Quinn stands up to join her. When she passes behind Mercedes, she stops and puts her hands on her stomach. Yet in the next shot, she passes Mercedes a second time and once again stops with her hands on her stomach.

Bad Reputation - S1-E17

Continuity mistake: During "Bad Reputation", as the kids are singing "Ice Ice Baby", their sheets of music continually change position, especially with the people sitting down. For example, in the first shot Mercedes is holding her music in her right hand. In the next shot it's down on her lap. In the third shot she's holding it with both hands, and in the last shot it's in her right hand again.

Acafellas - S1-E3

Continuity mistake: When Will reads the newspaper review of their concert, the date on the newspaper is February 12, 2009. This date is impossible. Most of the Glee kids who graduated in 2012 were sophomores in season 1, and the only way to be in school around the February 2009 date is if the class of 2012 were 9th graders. Only this is not the case. Also, all the football or basketball episodes in season 1 would all be incorrect. The most likely date for Acafellas is September 2009.

Pilot - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: Mercedes writes her name down on the board and starts her name out of alignment from the words "sign up below" When Kurt writes his name down, Mercedes' names has moved across the page and is now aligned with the words "sign up below." (00:05:00)

Ssiscool

Showmance - S1-E2

Rachel: I tried, but I don't have a gag reflex.
Emma: When you're older, that will turn out to be a gift.

Trivia: At various times throughout the show you may notice Chris Colfer has a large red scar on the left side of his neck running from about half way on the side to the back of his visible lower hairline. He had surgery when he was eight to remove an infected lymph gland. It is most noticeable when singing "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" in "Grilled Cheesus" (00:28:05-00:28:15) and numerous times "Candles" on "Original Songs" (00:28:10, 00:28:20, 00:28:55 & 00:29:05-Most Noticeable). Show generally

Question: Why don't any of the bullies ever get in trouble for throwing slushies at the members of the Glee club?

Answer: The show is purposefully stylized and over the top. It is not designed to be an accurate, realistic representation of American high school. The idea that the glee club is so unpopular other students can literally throw garbage at them with impunity is an over-exaggeration of how glee club is considered "un-cool" compared to things like football. However, there is a second way of looking at it. The audience is simply never shown anyone getting into any trouble for throwing slushies. Just because we don't see it doesn't mean it never happened.
