Continuity mistake: During Season 2, Episode 9 (Special Education), just as Blaine is singing "Hey soul sister, I don't wanna miss." for the last time, he is several feet in front of the other Warblers. But during the next shot, as he is singing ".a single thing you do.", he's right in front of them. So he jumped back several feet between two shots.
Continuity mistake: In "Wheels," when Artie is singing 'Dancing By Myself' and doing tricks in his wheelchair, the wheels on the back of the chair that prevent him from falling backwards disappear and reappear, depending on whether or not he is performing a trick.
Continuity mistake: During "Theatricality", when the boys are singing "Beth", just as Puck sings "Me and the boys are Playin'" for the first time, Finn is visible sitting behind Quinn. Yet Finn went to sit down and sing with Puck and is obviously sitting with the boys in the next wide shot.
Factual error: In season two the show makes Dalton look like it's in a suburb of Lima. Dalton Academy is suppose to be located in Westerville, OH, which is two hours southeast of Lima. Kurt & Blaine would not be able to go to the "Lima Bean" coffee shop every day if this was the case.
Continuity mistake: In "Hell-O", as Santana and Brittney are talking about the "hottest guys in the school", Santana's glass is almost empty. Yet two shots later, when she takes a drink, her glass is full. Also, when she says "Would you mind waiting in the car?" her glass is full and you can obviously see a slice of lemon in it. Yet in the next shot, when she says "And leave your credit card", her glass is only about 1/3 full and the lemon slice is gone.
Deliberate mistake: When the kids are opening their lockers, they enter the code, then pull on the lock to open the locker. The closed lock is still attached to the front of the locker. When they close it, it's magically locked again without them ever opening or closing the lock. In reality, these locks would be useless, or the locker doors wouldn't open.
Continuity mistake: Kurt informs Blaine that he flew in an airplane for the first time. This however is incorrect, as Kurt flew to Albuquerque NM for the 2010 Cheerios Championships. In the season 1 episode Sectionals it is mentioned the Cheerios Nationals are in Albuquerque and in the season 1 episode Funk The Cheerios return from Albuquerque the same day. 1500 miles in less than a day means they flew.
Other mistake: Many of the Warblers appear in McKinley throughout the show, even after the Warblers were introduced. An example of this is that Trent is often seen walking throughout the halls of McKinley. He even sits in front of Finn in "Substitute" when Holly Holiday is teaching the students Spanish.
Continuity mistake: In episode 2-18, "Born This Way", during the musical number "Somewhere Only We Know", you can see Brittany step down from the stairs in the background as The Warblers circle around Kurt and pat him on the shoulder. The next shot shows her stepping down again.
Other mistake: When Finn and Rachel sing Smile in the Choir Room in Mattress (Season 1, Episode 12), Finn doesn't appear to look at any other page but the first one in the music given to him by Rachel. It is unlikely that the entire score for the song was on the first page.
Continuity mistake: During "Don't Stop Believing" at the line "He took the midnight train going anywhere," Rachel extends her hand with her palm facing the floor. In the next shot, it instantly changes to her palm facing the seats of the auditorium. (Timecode listed for the director's cut of the episode.)
Continuity mistake: When Mercedes is singing "Bust Your Windows", the blue rags on Kurt's car behind her change position several times. Also, Kurt is at first looking up at the hole in his windshield, then has his head down on the hood, and then is looking up at the hole again, over a series of 3 or 4 shots.
Continuity mistake: At the end of the episode when Kurt and Blaine are sat in the Lima Bean, the position of Blaine's hand where it props up his face changes. Whenever we see Blaine from the front, his fingers are curved slightly, but when we see Kurt (and the back of Blaine's head), his fingers are held straight so they do not interfere with the shot.
Continuity mistake: In "The Power of Madonna", during the Cheerios stilts routine, as the people on stilts lift one leg one after the other, they are in a V shape, and there are both girls and boys on stilts. Yet in the very next shot, as the people on stilts swing the other Cheerios around, there are only 3 Cheerios, all guys, on stilts, and they are in a straight line.
Deliberate mistake: During almost every scene that involves the main actors in the hallway or in a classroom with a window to the hallway, there are people passing by at random intervals. Even if the scene takes place in the middle of class or after school, there are random extras wandering the halls. In real life, unless they had about 15 minutes between each class and every single club met after school every single day, there wouldn't be that many people in the halls.
Continuity mistake: In 3x14 (On My Way), Quinn apparently texted Rachel that she'd be there soon at 11:01PM on February 9, 2012. Quinn got Rachel's text back at 4:14PM. When we see Rachel's phone again, her text saying "HURRY!" is gone. (In addition, Feb. 9th 2012 was a Thursday, not a Saturday).
Continuity mistake: In Britney 2.0, when Brittany and Santana are video calling, look at Britt's laptop. Don't look at Santana, look at Brittany. In the first shot, there's some kind of light probably a window, at the back of Brittany. In the second shot, there's no light or window at all.
Continuity mistake: When Artie tries to walk with crutches after the "step dance" practice with Tina, he falls down violently. Immediately after the fall, the crutch is still attached to his left arm, which is angled away from his body. In the very next shot, the crutch is almost a foot away from his arm, which lies now at a different angle.
Factual error: After he gets fired from his teaching job, Mr. Ryerson makes a living reselling the medical marijuana he receives for depression. At the time the episode was made, Ohio was not one of the 16 states (and District of Columbia) that had medical marijuana laws, and NONE of the states allowed it for treatment of depression.

Continuity mistake: During "Home", when Mercedes is singing "Beautiful", Quinn stands up to join her. When she passes behind Mercedes, she stops and puts her hands on her stomach. Yet in the next shot, she passes Mercedes a second time and once again stops with her hands on her stomach.
Continuity mistake: Near the end of the episode, when Mr Schue is talking to Terri in the school hallway, there are several people walking around in the background and there is even one student running towards the camera. In the next shot - one second later - the hallway is completely empty.
Continuity mistake: During "Bad Reputation", as the kids are singing "Ice Ice Baby", their sheets of music continually change position, especially with the people sitting down. For example, in the first shot Mercedes is holding her music in her right hand. In the next shot it's down on her lap. In the third shot she's holding it with both hands, and in the last shot it's in her right hand again.
Continuity mistake: When Lauren drags Puck into the storage closet for Seven Minutes In Heaven, there are hearts on the wall which appear to be decorations for Valentine's Day. As the Seven Minutes In Heaven happened prior to Sectionals, which was well before Valentine's Day, these shouldn't be there.
Continuity mistake: During "Control", Blaine's jacket can be seen repeatedly switching from closed to open. Most noticeably when the chorus shouts "oh yeah" and he's seen high-fiving another member of the group on the right of the screen. This is shown two consecutive times from two slightly different angles. The first time his jacket is open, the second time it got buttoned up.
Other mistake: In the scene at the lockers with Brittany, Santana mentions having trouble finding a younger man per Sue's orders. However, Santana is a senior in season 3, which would make her a sophomore in season 1. Therefore, she could easily just date a freshman instead of needing Finn.
Continuity mistake: In the "Singing In the Rain" dance, the second time the three guys are on their knees, they splash water with their hands. The third time they splash, the water drops are moving toward the stage instead of away. And the rain in the background is falling up.
Continuity mistake: When Rachel is singing the final long note of "Promises, Promises," she slowly raises her arms to above shoulder level. Then, a shot from behind shows her arms well below shoulder level, then a return to a front shot shows her arms slightly above shoulder level again.

Factual error: The wedding is at a Christian church performed by a Christian minister, but at a Christian wedding the groom stands on the Minister's left side and the bride on his right. The way Will waits for Emma is the way that the bridal party stands at a Jewish wedding.
Deliberate mistake: When Howard enters Figgins' password to hack into his AOL account, Figgins' inbox is obviously visible behind the login box, which simply disappears once the password has been entered. In addition, look closely at the inbox and you'll see that not only is there no mail, they are actually in GMail (the logo has simply been edited out of the top corner).
Continuity mistake: While Santana is singing "Back to Black", Jessie is seen obviously scribbling something down. Yet at the end, his notepad is shown with a drawing of a cat upon it. If he was drawing the cat, he would have been drawing smooth lines, not scribbles, as the drawing contains no scribbles at all.
