Corrected entry: When Sheldon and Barry are rock climbing, Sheldon looks down and shouts in fear. When Barry asks "You all right there Cooper?", Sheldon answers "I feel somewhat like an inverse tangent function approaching an asymptote." An inverse tangent function approaches its asymptote in the horizontal axis, not the vertical. (00:15:55)
Correction: The vanity card at the end explains the joke. "A linear asymptote is essentially a straight line to which a graphed curve moves closer and closer but does not reach. In other words, given a function y=fn (x) with asymptote A, A represents a number that, no matter how big (or, given the function, small) you make x, y will never make it to A. The particular example Sheldon quotes is the inverse Tangent function, or Arctangent, which has two asymptotes. If you graph it, it sort of looks like a horizontal S. No matter how big you make x (that is, how far you move to the right [that is horizontally]), the function is never going to hit that top line (π/2), and no matter how small x gets (moving to the left), y is never going to be smaller than - π/2" Sheldon is saying he will never reach the top.

Corrected entry: When Sheldon was stuck in an infinite loop in his "friendship flowchart", Howard created an escape which he labeled "LDA"; however, Sheldon referred to it as "Least Objectionable Activity", which would be "LOA."
Correction: It is easy for a D to look like an O.
Corrected entry: Sheldon states that the "Reinheitsgebot" would have severely limited the availability of mead in 1487. This is wrong for two reasons, the first being that the most commonly known version of this law wasn't introduced until 1516 and secondly this law only defined the price and the ingredients of beer and had therefore nothing to do with other alcoholic beverages like mead. Correction: Purity Law or "Reinheitsgebot" was actually introduced in 1487, the Bavarian Law replaced this in 1516. In addition, the law was in effect on the production of beers in the broad sense of the word, it's main purpose was to reduce the need for "precious' resources like grain wheat and rye and also reduce the usage of 'pagan' plants and materials. In addition, the existence of law only effective on beers would suggest that mead was indeed not likely highly available.
Corrected entry: Sheldon's battery runs low during Leonard's date with Leslie so he gets an extension cord but leaves the door open. As he goes down the stairs the extension cord unwinds until he can't go any further and attempts to pull it. Then Leonard gets to shut the door easily like there is no extension cord plugged into the outlet and leading out of the apartment. (00:11:20)

Corrected entry: Sheldon is an obsessive compulsive and picky person and he picks a pre-designated seat in all places. When he enters Penny's apartment to talk to her he promptly sits on the couch, which was not where he chose 'his seat' to be in the last episode of the first season. It seems out of character that he would sit there when he has a ready-chosen spot and that his nature is as it is.
The Financial Permeability - S2-E14
Corrected entry: When Leonard returns from talking with Penny, the guys are playing Talisman. Stat counters are randomly placed on the board, when they should always be associated with cards. Then Howard rolls "double sixes" - in Talisman you advance your character by rolling a single die. Raj then acquires a sword without rolling - only the character that rolled would have acquired an item without additional gameplay. (00:13:45)
Correction: Fountain of Wisdom, Pool of Life, and Magic Stream all put stat counters on the board to be picked up by whomever lands on them. A Horse allows one to roll two dice for movement, and Market Day or Acquisition would allow someone to acquire items out of turn.
The Lizard-Spock Expansion - S2-E8
Corrected entry: Sheldon suggests Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock as an alternative to Rock, Paper, Scissors because "Anecdotal evidence suggests that in the game of rock-paper-scissors, players familiar with each other will tie 75 to 80% of the time due to the limited number of outcomes." As a devout scientist, Sheldon would know that anecdotal evidence is no basis for reaching a conclusion because it is based on individual experience and subject to bias. (00:00:30)
Correction: Presumably the "anecdotal evidence" is his own experience; within his group of friends they tie 75-80% of the time.
Corrected entry: Sheldon says something about drinking red bull, but he doesn't drink coffee because it's a drug, so he would avoid red bull even more.
Correction: Sheldon said that he accidentally had a sip of Red Bull. It was an accident. He didn't do it on a purpose.
The Terminator Decoupling - S2-E17
Corrected entry: On the train, the guys reference an eleven-hour train ride from Pasadena to San Diego, but it's only a 4 hour ride, at most. (00:10:00)
Correction: The train was actually headed to San Francisco and made at least one stop when Summer Glau got off the train, since Pasadena is nearly 350 miles from San Francisco and it was not a nonstop route, the ride could take approximately eleven hours.
The White Asparagus Triangulation - S2-E9
Corrected entry: Sheldon obviously changes the relationship status on Leonard's Facebook page to 'in a relationship with Stephanie Barnett'. At this point it would have been impossible for Penny to see the status update, because it only shows up after both parties have confirmed it.
Correction: You can see that a person is in a relationship before it is approved by the other person. It would simply say "[Name] is in a relationship" without the other person's name until it is approved, at which point it would say "[Name] is in a relationship with [other name]".
The Cushion Saturation - S2-E16
Corrected entry: At the end, Sheldon fires 5 shots at Leonard, who somehow ends up with 7 distinct paintball marks on his chest.
Correction: Paintball markers can easily fire two shots per trigger pull, especially when the CO2 in the tank is low.

Correction: Paintball markers can easily shoot two balls in one shot. They aren't as reliable as a real gun.
The Killer Robot Instability - S2-E12
Corrected entry: Kripke states that there is no guarantee that he will face Leonard, Sheldon, and Raj in the round-robin. In a round-robin, all competitors face each other in turn. It is out of character for Kripke not to be aware of this, and especially for Sheldon to not correct someone making this basic mistake.
Correction: Although the tournament is scheduled as a round robin, it's apparent that a losing robot may be actually destroyed and unable to compete further. MONTE would be unable to face Kripke's robot if it was destroyed in a previous match, regardless of whether it was scheduled to meet them or not.
Corrected entry: When Sheldon mentions to Leonard, Raj, and Howard that he is moving out, Raj asks Leonard "Did you pronounce the 't' in often?" This statement in context implies that it makes Sheldon angry when someone pronounces the 't' in often. However, Leonard and other characters do this multiple times throughout the series with Sheldon never commenting on it.
The Barbarian Sublimation - S2-E3
Corrected entry: When Penny is having trouble unlocking her apartment door, she says she is waiting for the locksmith but she never took the time to call the locksmith.
Corrected entry: When Leonard and Leslie are talking about assuming a relationship, in the cafeteria, the angle of the straw sticking out of Leonard's soda can continually changes throughout the whole scene. (00:06:05)
The Barbarian Sublimation - S2-E3
Corrected entry: When Sheldon is helping Penny with the game, we see Leonard, Howard and Raj discussing what's happening. However at this point Penny is still in the room and Raj has not been drinking so shouldn't be able to speak. (00:07:40)
The Panty Piñata Polarization - S2-E7
Corrected entry: Penny takes Sheldon's onion ring and holds it with 2 hands. Camera cuts and one is hand is down in her lap. (00:05:00)
Correction: The camera doesn't cut from Penny having two hands on the onion ring to just one hand. After Penny picks up the onion ring with two hands, the camera cuts to Raj squealing at her for a moment. She could have easily let go of the onion ring and put her hand down on her lap during this shot.
Correction: The answer Leonard gives to Penny is actually a correct scientific statement, and it doesn't indicate that he's clueless. He says "kinda like carbon atoms for a benzene ring, proximity and valence electrons". This is a correct statement. Carbon atoms are small and have 4 valence electrons, i.e., they can form 4 bonds. Due to catenation, carbon atoms have a very strong tendency to bond with other carbon atoms. Similarly, Leonard's statement suggests that they worked at the same place (hence proximity) and they were all seeking friends (valence electrons). Hence they became friends.
