Question: Why did Althea refuse to believe Leonard when he said that Howard was having an allergic reaction only believing it when she saw it for herself?
Answer: Because prior to this, Howard was exhibiting no symptoms of a severe allergic reaction, and she was tired of them wasting her time. However, unbeknownst to her, Howard had in fact taken a bite of a peanut bar (having only faked doing so before, to distract Leonard), so when she sees his genuine reaction, she believes it.
Question: Why doesn't Amy even once wear pants?
Answer: Amy does not wear pants because Mayim Bialik does not wear them in her personal life. She is Jewish and observes the Judaic custom of modesty and only wears skirts. The Big Bang producers allowed her to incorporate this practice into her Amy character.
The Justice League Recombination - S4-E11
Question: What is Raj's problem with Aquaman? Is it that he doesn't have powers?
Answer: Aquaman does in fact have powers. It is a long running joke that Aquaman is not a useful member of the Justice League due to a seemingly useless set of powers.
The Tenure Turbulence - S6-E20
Question: The episode ends without telling us who got tenure. Did I miss something?
Answer: No, you didn't miss anything. The writers never say who got tenure. (Although, as a side note, the entire process of getting tenure for the characters is entirely wrong in real life and none of them would have got it).
Question: Why can't Leonard's mother act like an actual mother? Why did she treat him like a test subject?
Answer: Because she is not the mother-type. She is a very emotionally detached person. She probably got children for the prospect of them being successful and interesting to her work. Not because she likes raising them or take care of them.
The Classified Materials Turbulence - S2-E22
Question: The piece of plastic Howard tells Raj is put in pizza boxes to keep the lid from touching the cheese—is there an actual name for it?
Answer: It typically goes by the name "pizza saver", but it's often called a pizza stool or pizza table (some have 3 legs and some have 4). When Carmela Vitale was issued a patent, she called it a package saver.
Question: What game are Amy and Sheldon playing in the opening scene? It's an app on a phone.
Answer: Heads Up, developed by Ellen DeGeneres. I believe it originally began on her talk show with the use of index cards.
The Viewing Party Combustion - S9-E21
Question: How come out of nowhere Leonard decides to not go to the roommate agreement meeting? I know he wouldn't want to but why just decide not to after about 13 years of these?
Answer: He was probably sick of it by that point. He has complained many times about roommate agreement regulations.
The Tangible Affection Proof - S6-E16
Question: Why did they get rid of Alex after this episode?
Answer: Plot-wise, there was no reason given for her exit. She was a minor character, not a regular, and writers often write them out of a series without an explanation. The actress, Margo Harshman, did go on to work in a web series the next season and, following that, had a more substantial role on NCIS.
The Decoupling Fluctuation - S6-E2
Question: Why does Bernadette seem surprised to hear that Amy can see her and Sheldon eventually getting married?
Answer: Bernadette is surprised at the thought that Sheldon could get married. Going against everything she knows.
The Electric Can Opener Fluctuation - S3-E1
Question: On the way from the Arctic expedition, why would Howard and Raj go with all their baggage to Leonard's and Sheldon's apartment instead of going home first? (00:00:01)
Answer: The four of them had just returned from a three month expedition in the North Pole. They were exhausted, they haven't had a proper wash or shave, they had loads of scientific equipment with them in addition to their own personal luggage. They probably just needed a place to go to in order to cool down, sit and have a rest, put down the equipment used for the expedition and sort through which of their belongings were which. And since Sheldon was the one in charge of the expedition and the apartment is home to half the people there, it was likely the most suitable place to settle down in. Once they had some time to rest and get back up on their feet, they would have gotten their belongings and gone home.
Question: In which episode did Sheldon criticize Falcon of the Avengers?
Answer: The Decision Reverberation.
The Habitation Configuration - S6-E7
Question: I understand why Amy wouldn't like what Will said but wasn't she way ruder to him? She doesn't act like she did at the start so I'm confused.
Answer: There's a difference between Amy trying to get the best take for Fun with Flags and Wil flat out insulting her.
The Veracity Elasticity - S10-E7
Answer: She wanted room for her own things. The apartment was cluttered with so many collectables that Leonard never looked at, that he never noticed when she put some in storage.
Well if they're a couple why not talk to him about it? After all couples are supposed to compromise on things, imagine if he'd done this to her.
The Sibling Realignment - S11-E23
Question: Why did Mary say that she'll only be at Sheldon's wedding if he invites his older brother Georgie, if she's on bad terms with him? Is this because she loves him deep down even if she calls him an idiot?
Answer: Weddings are a family affair and Mary doesn't want Sheldon's stubbornness about his brother to interfere with family.
Answer: She doesn't believe him because when Howard arrives he tells the nurse that he is faking it, and just asks for a band aid to say he had a shot.
