Father Knows Best - S1-E9

Corrected entry: Dexter is in the hospital and the doctors say there are complications because he has lost so much blood. Later, it is revealed he has a very rare blood type, AB-. It is true that this is the rarest blood type in most populations but I remember learning that AB blood types are the "universal acceptors" because they have no antibodies and can therefore accept A or B type blood. Of course it is preferable to give him the correct blood type but if it was really urgent shouldn't they give him any blood he could accept?

Correction: AB+ blood is the universal recipient, not AB-. People with AB- blood can only receive A-, B-, O- or AB- blood type. However, this comprises about 15% of the U.S. population. If Dexter was type B-, he could receive O- and B- blood, which comprise about 8% of the U.S. population. And finally, if he got the short end of the stick and had type O- blood, like about 6.5% of Americans, he could only receive type O-.

Dexter: The kind who hunted your friend down and strapped him to a board and put a plastic bag on his head and crushed his skull with a fire extinguisher. The kind who's gonna do the same thing to you, give or take the fire extinguisher.

When they are at the crime scene, you can plainly see the camera and camera man reflected in Special Agent Lundy's sunglasses several times. When it is a close up shot, it is even more obvious.

Trivia

(POSSIBLE SPOILER) When Masuka brings up the list of doctors authorized to get the M99, Dexter removes his alias note that Dexter's fake alias (used to get the M99 tranquilizer) is Dr. Patrick Bateman. Patrick Bateman is the lead character of "American Psycho". This was most likely an intentional "easter egg" of sorts within the show.
