Emergency!

Decision - S2-E1

Visible crew/equipment: When Roy has trouble sleeping in the middle of the night, he gets up, and when he goes to the bathroom sink, there is a fully dressed crew member whose reflection is visible in the mirror, as he moves around and looks through the door window towards the actor. Then 51's tones drop, and in the next shot we see that all the other guys of Station 51 have been lying in their beds, before getting up and putting on their turnouts.

The Professor - S2-E15

Visible crew/equipment: When Roy and Johnny are driving in the squad, while discussing Roy's last phone call from Susan, Johnny's lack of tact, etc., and particularly as they're being dispatched to the "possible maternity case," in every shot facing Johnny pay attention to the window behind the guys, because we can see a crew member's right hand, wearing a ring, who's holding a rope while he's riding on the back of the squad.

Honest - S2-E17

Revealing mistake: When Captain Stanley runs into the burning house looking for Johnny, the floor beside the stairs (under the table) is visible behind him, and there is no rug only wall-to-wall carpet, but when Johnny and Toby fall from the stairs, that area of floor is covered in a rug raised up like a platform, covering the crash mat for the stunt, then the rug vanishes when the guys get Johnny and Toby.

Syndrome - S2-E16

Continuity mistake: When Johnny, Roy, and Captain Stanley are rescuing the people trapped inside Olive View Hospital, they are wearing distinctively marked SCBA tanks on their backs, and when all three firemen exit the doorway, Cap is wearing an entirely different tank, and the tanks that Johnny and Roy are wearing have been switched. Then when Johnny jumps off Engine 82, his tank differs again, and when he walks over to the Battalion Chief it's changed yet again.

Honest - S2-E17

Other mistake: At the start of this episode the tones drop and Station 51 is dispatched to a fire and explosion. In this closeup, all the guys come running from the kitchen into the apparatus bay and head for the vehicles, but wait, none of them are actually 51's guys.

School Days - S2-E14

Other mistake: After the guys rescue Dr. Temple from under the library bookcase, when the attendants take him to the ambulance Johnny alone leaves with him, and while Billy and Roy are still in the library talking we hear the ambulance leaving with its siren blaring, but when the ambulance arrives at Rampart the attendant opens the back door and somehow Billy has actually joined Johnny and Dr. Temple in the ambulance.

School Days - S2-E14

Revealing mistake: While 51's on scene at the traffic accident involving a car that broadsided an ambulance, when Chet opens the back door of the overturned ambulance the license plate reads "99923U" but the "U" is lopsided and pushed to the edge of the plate, which makes it obvious that it's a magnetized letter. It's positioned properly in following shots.

Boot - S2-E19

Continuity mistake: During the fire at Rampart's lab building 8K, when Roy and Johnny are placing the salvage covers on important records, Johnny is wearing the SCBA tank with the two red stickers and Roy's tank has a large arrow sticker, but when they exit the building their tanks have switched.

Honest - S2-E17

Continuity mistake: When Johnny is in the pool with the guy who somersaulted off the roof, he and Roy insert an esophageal airway to ventilate, but when they lift him out of the pool and load the guy onto the stretcher, the esophageal airway has vanished.

The Professor - S2-E15

Visible crew/equipment: When Roy and Johnny are with 110 and are on scene at the downed airplane, as they remove the pilot from the aircraft, the silver fire starting canister used for the stunt is visible under the plane, before it becomes engulfed in flames.

Syndrome - S2-E16

Other mistake: After Johnny and Roy are dispatched to the actor with the possible heart attack, Brackett asks them to send an EKG strip, and when Brackett lifts the chart paper to read it, he is not looking at the side that would have the line tracing recorded by the stylus, he is actually looking at the back of the paper as it's rolling out of the machine. Also note that the chart paper is quite blank on both sides. Additionally, just prior to this, when Brackett presses the record tab on the recorder, it just pops back up and does not engage.

Helpful - S2-E12

Other mistake: Before their next shift starts, when Johnny walks into the locker room whistling he turns the corner and walks through the doorway between the dorm and locker room, but what's odd is that right behind him there's a brick wall instead of the dorm.

School Days - S2-E14

Visible crew/equipment: When Chet is driving the crane at the wrecking yard, just as we hear Captain Stanley say, "Swing it in," we see Marco standing atop the cars, with the moving crane in front of Marco. The position of the camera is at the back of the pile of cars, and there is an outstretched hand at the top.of the screen blocking the glare for the camera, which is tilting upwards.

Fuzz Lady - S2-E7

Revealing mistake: After Station 51 reaches the burning house, when Engine 210 rolls up and lays out a supply line, as the camera zooms in to the back of Engine 210, we can see the large, red, rectangular material that is adhered to the engine with the number 210 printed on it.

Peace Pipe - S2-E5

Continuity mistake: When Johnny calls in to Rampart, Brackett answers and presses the two buttons to record the conversation, then tells Johnny to standby leaving the two buttons depressed, while the drunk driver is brought in. In the next shot, a closeup of Johnny, Brackett tells 51 to go ahead, and in the following shots Brackett continues to listen to Johnny, but none of the buttons are depressed on the tape machine to record the conversation. Then when Brackett gets off the line, he actually presses the tape machine's off button, as if the buttons had been depressed and the conversation recorded.

Boot - S2-E19

Continuity mistake: When Brackett asks Early to see the patient (Jamie Farr) who belongs to an occult group and has no function in his right arm, Brackett's wearing a blue/white striped tie, Early's wearing a red/blue striped tie, and Dixie's wearing a uniform dress. However, in the previous and following shots, Brackett's wearing a blue/red/gold patterned tie, Early's wearing a solid black tie, and Dixie's wearing a 2-pc nursing uniform with pants.

Boot - S2-E19

Visible crew/equipment: After the explosions at Rampart, when Dixie runs out of the hospital with the gurney and reaches Brackett, the outlines of the mic transmitter, wire, and even the dark strap (that holds the lav transmitter) around her waist are visible on the back of Dixie's uniform.

The Game - S6-E1

Trivia: It's in this episode that the Heimlich Maneuver is used for the first time by the paramedics. At the USC game, when a guy is choking on a hot dog, John and Roy are called, and John uses the Heimlich. Up until season 6 we've seen the guys use other methods, such as the ChokeSaver which look like huge white tweezers, to remove obstructions in an airway, as seen in 4x9, "Foreign Trade."

Show generally

Question: In quite a few episodes of Emergency there is a character that the doctors and other nurses call Nurse Carol. She is the older nurse with dark hair. I would say she is on at least a fourth of all episodes in all seasons yet I can not see this actress getting credited or listed as uncredited anywhere. I wonder if she was an actual nurse. Does any one know who she was. Yes there also were a couple of other actresses who played a nurse named Carol on one or two episodes and they are listed in the episode guides. She also is the patient with her arm in the cast talking to Dr. Morton in the episode 6:18 Firehouse Quintet.

Answer: On IMDB, actress Anne Schedeen is listed as playing Nurse Carol on six episodes from 1974-76.
