Emergency!

Peace Pipe - S2-E5

Continuity mistake: When Johnny calls in to Rampart, Brackett answers and presses the two buttons to record the conversation, then tells Johnny to standby leaving the two buttons depressed, while the drunk driver is brought in. In the next shot, a closeup of Johnny, Brackett tells 51 to go ahead, and in the following shots Brackett continues to listen to Johnny, but none of the buttons are depressed on the tape machine to record the conversation. Then when Brackett gets off the line, he actually presses the tape machine's off button, as if the buttons had been depressed and the conversation recorded.

Continuity mistake: When Kelly and Gage have at it about the portrayal of Native Americans in film, DeSoto quips, "What are you picking on me for?" as he faces Gage in front of him. Gage then walks to the other side of the table and after he says, "We call that white man royalty syndrome," he puts his arm around Kelly, standing beside him. We are then shown DeSoto's reaction shot, who still faces Gage in the same direction as his earlier quip, and we also see Kelly behind him, but no Gage.

Continuity mistake: Before being shot at, when Gage and DeSoto climb up to the scaffolding, Gage lifts the man's head to rest on the scaffolding and stays that way in each of the following close-ups, but in the following four wideshots his head still hangs over the side.

Continuity mistake: When DeSoto and Gage arrive at the corner shop for the gum ball machine rescue, in the overhead shot the front end of the parked RV is beside the lamppost, but in the next shot half its body is past the fixture.

Continuity mistake: When Johnny and Roy are at the nurses' station telling Dixie about the girdle run, Squad 51 responds to the structure fire right up the street, and we see Roy and Johnny en route without the turnouts, but when they pull up to the house they're both wearing turnouts.

Continuity mistake: Treatment 4 is beside the nurses' station, as seen when Roy and John are with Debbie's parents, while the drunk driver is being wheeled through the double doors. Later, when Brackett suspects that Debbie's father is with the drunk, as he rushes to the drunk's room he goes through the double doors to get to the room, but while Brackett's in the room speaking to Debbie's father we can see treatment 4's door right behind Brackett, even though they're supposed to be in a completely different area.

Continuity mistake: After Roy and Johnny find the source of the fuel oil getting into the water supply, when they pull up behind the van, there are three barricades with flashers. The flasher on the sidewalk barricade flips from one side to the opposite side between shots.

Continuity mistake: When Johnny and Roy arrive at the apartment with the woman who can't breathe because of her new girdle, she hangs up the phone receiver with the cord across the base. In following shots the receiver is placed properly, and then the other way again.

Continuity mistake: To send the drug box up to Gage and DeSoto on the scaffolding, Kelly loops the rope and ties a knot, but in the next shot, when Gage pulls it up it's a different kind of knot and loop.

Continuity mistake: When Brackett and Officer Vince are in the ER with the drunk driver, Dixie cuts the gauze bandages from around his head, and they lie bunched up on the gurney beside him, but in the overhead shots as Brackett draws his blood the bandages are still around his head.

Continuity mistake: When Engine 51 rolls up to the house with the fire in the toilet and then also at the hydrant that Roy and Johnny lock off, Engine 51's license plate reads 110856 (different engine). However, right after Chet proposes a treaty, when Station 51 is dispatched to the "construction accident," just as the front bay door opens in the shot from inside the apparatus bay, Engine 51's plate reads 180174.

Continuity mistake: When the drunk driver arrives in the ER and is taken into treatment 5, Vince is with the intoxicated man, but at the accident scene while they're still trying to get the little girl out of the car, after Roy checks Debbie's pupillary response, in the closeup of Debbie's mother Vince is still standing right beside her. Neat trick for Vince to be in two places at the same time.

Peace Pipe - S2-E5

Continuity mistake: On scene at the drunk's car accident with the little girl trapped in the car, in the shots facing the girl's mother she's standing with Vince behind the back of the car, near the crowd of bystanders, but in Roy's closeups while he's in the car with Debbie getting her vitals, we see the mother's legs (note her yellow polka-dot dress) right behind Roy, near the open front passenger door.

Continuity mistake: After watching the movie on TV, Chet says he has royal Indian blood, and when Johnny walks over to Chet he puts his arm around Chet's shoulder, and tells him it's called, "White man royalty syndrome," then it cuts to a closeup of Roy, and we see Chet still standing by himself.

Continuity mistake: Before climbing up to the man lying on the scaffolding, when Roy and Johnny put the pompier belts around their waists, both belts are buckled so the tongue buckles and carabiner hooks are at their right sides, but both stuntmen are wearing their belts the opposite way in the wide shots. Notice the axe sheaths are upside down on Johnny's and Roy's belts, but the stuntmen's pompier belts are buckled the right way.

Continuity mistake: Before Roy and Johnny climb up to the injured man (who was shot) lying on the scaffolding, they put on their life belts (pompier) with the tongue buckles and carabiner hooks towards their right sides, but both stuntmen wear their belts the opposite way. Also note the axe sheaths (attached to the pompier belts) are upside down on Roy and Johnny, but right-side up on the stuntmen.

Peace Pipe - S2-E5

Continuity mistake: When Roy and Johnny decide the only choice is to break the glass on the gumball machine, Roy holds the green bottle of soap, but they're both empty handed when they walk back to the squad. When Johnny hands Roy the gloves and the 5-hole hydrant wrench, then start to walk back to the boy, in the next shot the green bottle of soap has suddenly reappeared in Roy's arms.

The Mouse - S4-E20

Revealing mistake: At the apartment complex fire, after Johnny is knocked unconscious by the explosion, when the Pasadena fireman finds him and has to lift him up, it's funny how even though Johnny's unconscious we can see that he actually helps to stand himself up, so the fireman can lift him up and carry him out.
