Visible crew/equipment: The Green Hornet zaps the bad guy's rifle with his stinger ray. When the gun bursts into flames, the wire leading to the explosive special effects charge is visible trailing off to the right of the shot. (00:17:30)
The Green Hornet (1966)
1 visible crew/equipment mistake in The Preying Mantis
Starring: Bruce Lee, Wende Wagner, Lloyd Gough, Van Williams
Visible crew/equipment: When Reid is showing the DA his closed-circuit video of Mike, several pieces of white tape stuck to the carpet are visible. These are blocking marks, put there to show the actors where to stand. (00:07:15)
Narrator: Another challenge for the Green Hornet, his aide Kato, and their rolling arsenal, the Black Beauty. On Police records a wanted criminal, Green Hornet is really Britt Reid, owner-publisher of the Daily Sentinel, his dual identity known only to his secretary and to the district attorney. And now, to protect the rights and lives of decent citizens, rides THE green hornet."
Trivia: Kato was Japanese when The Green Hornet premiered as a radio series in 1936. After the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941, Kato suddenly became a Korean. In the 1960s, when future martial arts superstar Bruce Lee (who was Chinese) assumed the role for television, Kato was meant to regain his Japanese heritage. But his ethnicity was never mentioned on the show, and publicity simply referred to Kato as "Asian."
