Revealing mistake: When the Lieutenant is explaining how her gun was in the victim's house, the camera pans behind Gibbs. Pay close attention and you can see a very faint shadow move across his back. Since we see there is nothing behind him on numerous occasions, it can only be part of the film crew. (00:18:20)

Visible crew/equipment: After Abby has convinced Jimmy to begin the autopsy, Ducky soon applauds Jimmy's initiative. As this enjoyable scene continues, when Mrs. Mallard walks in, just as Ducky says, "We did go for a ride, Mother," the hand of a crew member is visible on the lab fridge, at the right side of the screen. Visible crew/equipment: When Gibbs joins Abby and McGee in the Forensic Lab, in two shots facing McGee as he tells Gibbs about working a different angle and explains it, a crew member wearing a black short-sleeve shirt is visible on the right side of the screen. (00:16:55)
Visible crew/equipment: When Tony drives into the hangar with Brian taped to the steering wheel, just as Ziva gets out of the car the reflections of numerous crew members are visible on the rear of the car. (00:39:50)
Revealing mistake: When DiNozzo is watching the ship through the binoculars at the beginning, the film is run in reverse. The sailor smoking on the deck is the giveaway, as the smoke he's blowing is going into his mouth. (00:00:15)
Visible crew/equipment: When Director Shepard apologizes to Tony during their phone conversation, Tony begins to cite a Gibbs rule, "Never apologize," and in the wide shot as Jenny finishes, "it's a sign of weakness," the camera is visible at the right side of the screen. (00:14:45)
Continuity mistake: We see Ziva take the photos out and place them on the interrogation table and ask the captain to point out their suspect. We then see the Captain pick up a photo. Camera changes to McGee and Tony behind the glass and we see Ziva getting the photos out and places them on the table again. (00:39:10)
Visible crew/equipment: When Mike tells Gibbs about the September 11 terrorist attacks, Gibbs needs to hurl the steak he just ate. Then just as Gibbs rushes toward the trash bin, in the shot from behind the bin, the camera and a crew member are visible on the right side of the screen. (00:30:05)
Continuity mistake: The year Gibbs joined NCIS is inconsistent. It is revealed in this episode that he joined the NIS in 1992, the same year it became NCIS. But in the JAG crossover episode "Ice Queen", Gibbs tells Commander Rabb that he has been an agent for 19 years, which suggests that Gibbs joined NIS in 1984. And in "Singled Out" in season 4, McGee mentions that Gibbs has been an agent for roughly 16 Years, which would put Gibbs' joining NIS in 1990.
Revealing mistake: During season 4 the same television clip of President Bush and VP Cheney disembarking Air Force One is used on the background television in the squad room. In some cases the clip is running and not in unison, on three of the televisions in the same scene from shot to shot.
Continuity mistake: When the bike and Mini turn down a road just after the crash at the start we see the car the bike is approaching from behind has got a junction to its right. Camera changes to behind the bike and now it is buildings to the right of the same car. We know it's the same car as the bike is still approaching the car from behind. (00:00:50)
Continuity mistake: When agent DiNozzo and agent Sacks are arguing on the stairs, Sacks proceeds down a flight of stairs. Director Sheppard then calls both of them to the top. When the camera changes, Sacks is level with DiNozzo despite having descended a flight just seconds before. (00:13:30)
Chosen answer: "Policing your brass", means to pick up your expended shell casings, after firing your rifle, or pistol.
