The Bells of Saint John - S7-E8

Continuity mistake: Miss Kizlet wears a large silver brooch on her suit's right lapel in every shot of her, but after Clara notices the lights going out behind her house, when it cuts back to the office Kizlet's brooch switches to her left lapel just before it cuts back to the Doctor and Clara, and since the brooch has a distinctive design we can tell that it's a flipped shot. The Bells of Saint John - S7-E8

Visible crew/equipment: After Miss Kizlet enters her office to find the walking base station Doctor sitting at her desk, as she walks around the motorbike lying on the broken glass, when this 'Doctor' says, "Yes, those still with bodies to go home to would be free," we can see the moving reflection of two crew members on the surface of the motorbike.

The Bells of Saint John - S7-E8

Continuity mistake: When the Doctor and Clara are on the rooftop terrace, there's a distinctive design on the Doctor's bow tie, but when he's in the coffee shop the bow tie's design differs, and when he runs outside to ask if Clara's okay it changes back, then it changes again when he's in back the shop. Additionally, when the walking base station Doctor uploads Clara it's wearing a bow tie, and its design also changes on the motorbike and in Kizlet's office.

The Angels Take Manhattan - S7-E6

Continuity mistake: When they are back in the cemetery at the end, the Angel shows up right behind Rory. In the first shot facing Rory, as the camera zooms in on a close-up of the Angel, the Angel's right arm/hand is pointing straight out, and its left open hand is up in a grabbing position. After River asks where the hell it came from, in the Angel's next close-up and all subsequent close-ups, its arm/hand positions are reversed - left hand is pointing straight out and its right hand is up. Yet in every shot of the Doctor, River and Amy together, in the foreground we see the Angel's left hand is up in the grabbing position. (00:37:35)

The Bells of Saint John - S7-E8

Continuity mistake: While Clara shouts, "I don't know where I am," over and over, the Doctor sonics his way into the house. When he kneels beside Clara, then notices the 'girl' on the stairs and stands up, in the shots facing him we can see that the young actress stands on the step facing the stairway (note her legs), with her hand at her side, but in the shots facing the girl she stands facing the door with her hand on the banister. The Time of the Doctor - S7-E17

Continuity mistake: After the Doctor yells at Handles for putting him on the Dalek ship, the Doctor grabs him and carries the head with his right arm, then switches the head to his left arm. However, in the close-up as the Doctor asks, "What does this question mean?" we see Handles is back on the Doctor's right arm, but next shot as the phone rings, Handles is carried on the Doctor's left arm again. Suggested correction: The close-up shot of the Dalek just as Rory pushes it is positioned such that the ear lights, and the place where they're mounted, isn't visible anyway.

Cold War - S7-E10

Factual error: The rank insignia of the Soviet officers is completely inaccurate. The captain wears the epaulets of a captain first rank (captain) and the sleeve insignia of a captain second rank (commander). Lieutenant Stephashin wears the epaulets of a senior lieutenant and the sleeve insignia of a captain third rank (lieutenant-commander). The third officer wears the epaulets of a captain second rank and the sleeve insignia of a captain third rank.

The Bells of Saint John - S7-E8

Factual error: Clara determines the location of the enemy's base of operations: floor 65 of The Shard. However, there are multiple issues with this conclusion. Firstly, floor 65 is a residential property, not an office location; offices in The Shard occupy floors 2 through 28. Secondly, the view of 30 St Mary Axe from Miss Kizlet's window puts the office below 180m, the height of the latter building. This would mean the office must be below floor 50. Finally, when the Doctor rides his motorcycle up the side of the building, 30 St Mary Axe is again seen, this time significantly below his location, and on the wrong side of The Shard. Not only then does the office's height change, but also which side of The Shard it is on. (00:36:06 - 00:38:40)

The Time of the Doctor - S7-E17

Other mistake: While looking around the Doctor's room, one of the children's drawings Clara passes by has the TARDIS in it... when the TARDIS has been absent for all of the 300 years the Doctor has spent on Trenzalore up to this point, so none of the pictures existing now should have the time machine present. And it's not a particularly weathered picture, either, suggesting it can't be from the beginning of his stay on the planet. (00:31:47)

The Time of the Doctor - S7-E17

Continuity mistake: When the Doctor teleports onto the Dalek ship and announces himself, he's holding up a broken Dalek eyestalk in the wide shot as he throws off his hood, but then in the close-up he throws the hood off again, with his arm lowered. Then he raises his arm again, with his arm bent at the elbow, only for a wide shot to have his arm sticking straight up, with his elbow straight. (00:00:55)

Season 2 generally

Trivia: "Torchwood" is an anagram for Doctor Who. Russell T Davies came up with it during the filming of Series 1 to label the tapes in order to prevent theft and potential leakage, and decided to use the name in the show proper.

More trivia for Doctor Who

Season 1 generally

Question: 1. Why was Rose not allowed to touch her past self without creating a paradox and causing those creatures to appear and eat everyone, but Amy was allowed to touch her younger self without any repercussions? 2. Why was Rose able to have the time vortex in her head for a few minutes and it only knocked her unconscious whereas the Doctor had it inside him for about 30 seconds and it basically killed him and caused his regeneration?

strikeand

Chosen answer: 1) When Stephen Moffat took over he ignored a lot of what had been developed before (there is not in-universe answer). 2) It would have killed Rose, so the Doctor absorbed the energy. His body regenerated before the energy could do a significant amount of damage that would prevent regeneration.
