Continuity mistake: As the scarecrow-soldiers advance on the school to do battle, the scene cuts to Sister-Of-Mine, looking out from a school window. There is heavy rainfall outside. When we immediately cut back to the advancing scarecrows, it is a cold, clear night.
Factual error: The army shoot at Martha's car and you can see sparks where the bullets bounce off her windscreen. But, at that close range, one of those things can go through a brick! I know you're supposed to allow a bit of disbelief, but this is taking it too far.
Continuity mistake: When Lawrence is watching the weeping angel, just after seeing the Doctor's film/easter egg, he turnes away for a split second. By the time he turns back, you see the weeping angel's face only inches from Lawrence's face. Yet, you then cut to a wide shot were you see the angel's arms outstretched, so its face is about half a metre away from Lawrence's face.
Continuity mistake: When the Master stands up on the Valiant to announce that he is "the Toclafane's Master", President Winters is visible in the background, only the Toclafane aren't there. In the next shot, they return, buzzing around Winters' head.
Character mistake: When The Doctor is taking Donna to 4.6 billion BC to watch the Earth Formation, he says that it is the furthest back the TARDIS has ever been. But in the 5th Doctor episode "Castrovalva" the TARDIS drifts to 13.2 billion BC and the formation of the galaxy.
Audio problem: While Billy Shipton is showing Sally Sparrow the TARDIS (in the room where he keeps the abandoned cars), just after he says, '[You] can't even get in it', he rattles the TARDIS' handle to demonstrate. Watch carefully: When he shakes the handle we hear a rattling noise as if the door is shaking, but in fact the door stays rock solid.
Audio problem: When the Doctor and Martha are watching Shakespeare in the Globe, Martha says "He's a bit different to his portraits". After she says this on the left of the screen the Doctor's head comes into shot and you can clearly see by his facial expressions he is saying something to Martha, yet no sound is heard.
Factual error: A reflection of a full moon is shown at the end. But when Earth is viewed from the moon, half of it is in the light. For a full moon to take place, most of the Earth would have to be dark.
Continuity mistake: When Martha is searching how the daleks changed the design of the Empire State Building, she is examining the plans for the top of the tower. In the first shot where the new plans are visible, the upper right shows a more detailed picture of a plate of dalek armour. Seconds later, when we can see the new plans again, it's the same side view but the enlarged picture of the plate with the dalek bumps is gone. These are still the same new plans (the old plans are on her right) and there was no time or reason for Martha to take another page.
Continuity mistake: When Sally Sparrow is about to take the key from the weeping angel, at first the key is on a piece of string, and that string is wrapped around the weeping angel's left hand. In the next shot, and when she pulls the key out, the string is now only in the angel's palm.
Plot hole: The guy working for the Daleks offers the homeless men in Hooverville a dollar a day to go into the sewer because the Daleks need more people. Most of the people refused and one called it slave wages. If they were not getting paid until they came back, and since the Daleks were planning on experimenting on them, the people weren't going to come back; why not offer them a large amount of money big enough to entice them but small enough not to be suspicious?
Revealing mistake: The pyrotechnic mortars used in the destruction of The Family's ship are visible in the shots leading up to their detonation. As The Family run from their ship through the field, the mortars are visible against the branches behind them. Shortly afterwards, they detonate, creating the illusion that the invisible craft has exploded.
Continuity mistake: When Timothy opens the watch into the girl's eyes, Jeremy Baines shouts "Timelord", then a few seconds later; "What are we waiting for. ATTACK!" There is then a shot looking down on the scarecrows, Jeremy and Jenny. If you look closely at Jeremy Baines, it's a different actor playing him.
