Saga of a Star World (1) - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: When Baltar turns to face the two setting suns, we see the lower one at the left has what could be a boat in its reflection on the water. The higher one on the right is over a mountainous area on the horizon. The next shot is of Baltar in close-up, then the next returns to the horizon to show us Baltar's view, which shows just ONE setting sun. The one on the left has vanished though there is room enough for it to have been seen in this shot.

Saga of a Star World (1) - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: When the Warriors are playing cards, Starbuck places his cards on the table near the gold coins, saying "A perfect pyramid. Unless there's a better hand, the pot is mine". His right fingers tap on the table and his cigar is in the ashtray. When the shot cuts, his hand is suddenly up by his mouth, holding the cigar, and the cards and coins have vanished.

Saga of a Star World (1) - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: When the Galactica goes to battle stations, Starbuck's card game is broken up. He rises out of his chair in a close-up to try to keep the other players from taking back their money and leaving. In the next wide shot, he's still seated and rises again.

Saga of a Star World (1) - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: After the big battle, Apollo announces that the Cylons are "on the run". Adama orders all the Vipers back on board Galactica, and when they've landed, he is informed that two are missing. Apollo and Starbuck have headed off to find the Cylon base ship on which a Cylon reports to the Imperious Leader that an attack is imminent. When the leader suggests that their Cylon Raiders can defend them, the Cylon replies that the Raiders are still engaging Galactica- but this hasn't been true for sometime- that battle is over.

Saga of a Star World (1) - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: At the end of the big battle, at least four Cylon Raiders are seen fleeing the battle area. Then, using phony radio chatter, Starbuck and Apollo fake that their two ships are actually four full squadrons, ready to attack the base star. Starbuck tries to fake that two more squadrons can join them, but Apollo states that they aren't needed. But the Cylon reporting to his leader states that SIX squadrons are approaching (not just the four) and that all their Raiders were destroyed in the battle. A Cylon does not exaggerate, nor can he be mistaken or lie- yet he IS wrong in this scene.

The Living Legend (1) - S1-E12

Continuity mistake: After Cain leaves the planning session for the attack on the Cylon convoy, Apollo walks toward Adama. In the background is a metal wall unit. At the far right side, halfway down are four small compartments with handles that are all properly folded flush. When the shot cuts to a close-up of Tigh, the second compartment's handle is not stowed.

Fire in Space - S1-E14

Continuity mistake: When a Cylon ship prepares to ram the Galactica's bridge, a Cylon aboard states "1 micron" (a measure of time) until impact, and it takes 14 real seconds to do so. But when another heads for Galactica's landing bay, a Cylon aboard says "5 microns" until impact, and takes only 9 real seconds to do so.

War of the Gods (1) - S1-E15

Continuity mistake: The show uses made-up terms similar to metric system terminology when remarking about measures of distance and time. Roughly speaking, microns tend to refer to seconds, while centons refer to hours. But here, when Count Iblis enters the communications area and the video screens malfunction, Athena comments that everything was fine "a few centons ago", suggesting hours, when it was only seconds ago that the trouble started.

Continuity mistake: When Apollo asks Zac, "How many of them can you make out?", Zac looks at his targeting screen and replies, "Four." However, the screen displays five. The ensuing battle proves Zach is correct with four, meaning the film makers inserted an incorrect targeting screen graphic.

Continuity mistake: When the Vipers come to Galactica's rescue, an interior shot shows a pilot hitting the 'Turbo' button. The next exterior shot shows two Vipers pulling upward as we hear the familiar sound of the Turbos- but no white exhaust is emitted by these two Vipers as normally seen when Turbo is used. Take the Celestra - S1-E23

Continuity mistake: The exterior shots of Commander Kronus' shuttle show that all its side windows are transparent, like all Galactica shuttles. But the interior views show that its second starboard-side window is actually an opaque gray panel, not transparent as seen from outside. This is because the exterior shot is of a Galactica shuttle (no model was built to represent Kronus' shuttle). Also note the impossibly high interior ceiling at the very front, compared to the exterior shape.

The Hand of God - S1-E24

Continuity mistake: As Galactica attacks a Cylon base star, she is shown banking to port with the base star off her starboard bow. Seconds later, the base star is to port and Galactica is banking to starboard, yet no course change has occured.

Take the Celestra - S1-E23

Continuity mistake: The shuttle belonging to Commander Kronus is described as being a non-military version, differently equipped than are the Galactica shuttles. But an exterior shot shows the shuttle to be 'GAL 356' yet again, which is the most-often-used Galactica shuttle.

Fire in Space - S1-E14

Continuity mistake: When Galactica closes the shield for the bridge this time, it is a two-piece design as seen on Pegasus in the previous episode (one piece rises halfway up to meet the second that lowers halfway- like eyelids closing). But before this episode, Galactica's shield was a one piece version lowered from top to bottom to close. There is nowhere for the ship to have gone and had a refit- it simply appears in this episode.

War of the Gods (1) - S1-E15

Continuity mistake: When three Vipers land on a planet, the pilots emerge and discuss how odd everything looks in the strange lighting of this world. The colors of these shots have been altered so that grass and other green plants look red, and the red stripes of the Vipers look a yellowish green. Naturally, this has made the pilots look a bit odd, too. Continuity mistake: During the wedding ceremony, Adama states he is about to recite the most powerful words in the universe. He then says "Under the eyes of God, bound by the symbol of the faiths of the Lord of Kobol.".
